Quality fish, chicken, chips, pineapple rings peas, beans and curry sauce and a decent cup of tea. And that's just the stuff I tried in the past two weeks but not all in one sitting 🙃 and the staff were friendly. Highly recommended

A bit of a wait, as everything is cooked freshly, but well worth it. We had mini cod, chips and peas, and we had enough to eat. The batter is crispy and golden, and delicious. We sat outside, but there is a restaurant to the side, and you can even order ahead, to avoid the queue. It's always very busy. Everywhere is clean and tidy, with plastic screens between the server and customer. Highly recommend.

Lovely fish and chips though they was a little bit on the pricey side. The chips with absolutely outstanding. The fish on the other hand with their little bit too greasy and a little bit too much better for my liking, but overall I thought they was wonderful. Keep the good work up

Lovely crispy batter and fish perfect, nice chips too - lightly crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. Not given five stars because of the grease - the fish was cooked in beef dripping and it was literally dripping in little pools all over the place. It put me off and I think it should have at least been soaked up a bit before serving. There were no paper towels/serviettes that could do the job.

Staying in the area for a few days. I googled the best chipies near us. I chose Salty's and I'm so glad I did. The fish was huge, the chips really nice and curry sauce. We both said we've not enjoyed fish n chips like that in a long time. Lovely clean shop, officant staff and busy. They were really tasty compared to some I've had. 100% recommend if your staying in the area.

We had the cod bites and chips. They were lovely pieces of white cod perfectly cooked in light crispy batter. 😋 The chips were also perfect they were crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. We went back again the next day!! I've never been tempted to have fish and chips two days in a row before.

Lovely fish, chips and peas meal today x 3! Generous size portions, beautiful light non-greasy batter on fish and great service. I can see why it is such a popular place for locals and visitors. Thank you for being so accommodating without any fuss for guide dog inside, who found a nice space out of the way under the table whilst we ate. Will be back again.

On a cold January afternoon it was nice to sit in and get piping hot fish and chips. Good portion sizes and very friendly staff

Enjoyed "Salty's Special" (that still tickles me!) of haddock, chips, choice of sauce and tea or coffee for £9.95. Well worth the money. Very tasty!

Lovely sized portions. Fish had light crispy batter, and too many chips for me, I'm a lighter eater. Photos. One with curry sauce is normal size and one with mushy peas is a small portion.
