Suttons Traditional Fish and Chips in East Lindsey

Haddock, chips and peas x two at £16.00.Price a little on the high side, peas were okay, chips were decent, the haddock was abysmal, slightly overcooked, more batter than fish and because of that, the inside of the batter wasn't cooked.It's obvious that whoever cooked the fish either doesn't care, or doesn't have a clue.For that reason, we'll take our custom elsewhere.

Greasy, all we taste in our mouths was fatty oil, 2 fish and chips went straight in the bin and expensive.

Freshly cooked fish this has to be one of the best fish and chips shops I have visited for years, friendly staff, will hopefully return for more

The cod was bland and soggy. Sorry but just over £19 for 2 x cod, chips and peas for it to go in the bin we won’t be back.

We have been using Suttons for years. Tonight however, the cod that we asked for wasn't cod at all. It didn't taste like cod or haddock, it was bland with a almost metal shine silver skin. I don't know if it has changed hands but it was the most disappointing fish and chips ever.Oh, and the beans are Branston. Disgusting.

Brilliant food but don't take card payments in 2021?

I've been a local to Skegness and Wainfleet for 49 years and you won't find a better chippy. Fantastic staff and very friendly, fish is always cooked properly and to have crispy batter on both sides is very rare, chips are good too. 10/10

Just got home and had a great fish and chips meal for us four adults and two children. Three large haddocks, scampi, two lots of fishcakes all with chips. Everything lovely and crispy and beautiful white fish. A very enjoyable family meal. Definitely recommend.

Fish was large but soggy in grease and although looked a meaty fish it was in fact just a mush and not very nice. Chips were OK but lots of little bits in with them but the mushy peas were very good. Would we go there again ? No, too expensive for the standard.

Best Fish & Chip shop for miles around! Better than any chippy in Skegness. Friendly staff. Hot tasty food. Option of quick take away (wrapped or unwrapped) or seated in their cozy restaurant area with proper plates, knives & forks. Reasonable prices. Nice big portions. All round A1+ standards. I recommend this place to people all the time. Just writing this review is making me hungry. If it wasn't for the fact it's closed right now, I would've made a quick trip to pick up a haddock and chips.Try it. I guarantee you WON'T be disappointed.
