Lovely village pub. Cosy atmosphere. Great beer and good choice of meals. Better than the norm pub fare. Understandably popular so do book to be sure of a table.

Nice surprise for Fathers Day. Excellent food. Good beer. Attentive staff. Had a lovely time.

Booked at very short notice. Lovely staff. Very good food. Both had fillet steak, cooked perfectly.

Had a very nice lunch in the garden on the honest day of the year so far. Service was excellent, food was excellent as well

Had The Steak, Stilton and Guiness Pie with Veg and Chips, Roasted Veggie Pie with same sides and the Haddock and Chips and Mushy Peas for desserts, Sticky Toffee and White Chocolate Bread and Butter Pudding with Ice cream all very nice tasty food and well presented. Friendly and good service well worth a visit if in the area.

Lovely cosy pub on our Roman/Viking walk of the Lincolnshire Wolds.Very friendly staff and amazing sandwiches. We had the Brie and Bacon as well the mushrooms and cheese one.Accompanied by at nice pint of Batemans ale.Ready for more walking!

Warm welcome when we arrived and shown to our table. The menu offered a wide variety of choice and when our food arrived, it was delicious and excellent quality. The staff were polite and courteous throughout the evening and the atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. Thoroughly recommended and will visit again.

Four of us booked for lunch, 30th Aug. Real ale was on top form and the food was excellent, especially the chicken with black pudding (fantastic flavours) pic 2.I like that they describe pic 1 as steak casserole with puff pastry lid, rather than 'pie'.Staff very polite, knowledgeable and helpful.Definitely worth a visit our two.

Absolutely fantastic food and friendly pub. Highly recommended! Pop in if you're anywhere near. We will come back for sure :)
