We were invited back last night following not such a great experience on our first visit and I must say it was like visiting a different establishment. We had a meal in the restaurant and the food was very good the staff attentive, also our special thanks to Karen who was very friendly/professional member of the staff. Our thanks also go to the Alicia and the management who dealt with our initial visitFollowing our visit last night we will certainly be returning for more superb food. Many thanks for an enjoyable evening

We have been here for lunch and really loved it. With the history and friendly atmosphere we just wanted to come back. However, we booked for dinner to celebrate our anniversary and it was so disappointing. The food was so over cooked and hard, I nearly dislodged a filling on the roast potatoes. It's such a shame because for the same price it could be outstanding.Get a new chef or employ more kitchen staff. You could pack out this resistant on name alone. Just deliver reasonable food.

Went for afternoon tea with two of our grandchildren. I've wanted to go for sometime as I know some of its history. Fantastic building and location. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our afternoon tea was lovely. The nice touch was the children has their own food served on a separate platter of plates, very traditional. They loved that, and my wife and I had our own. So they cater for children very well.We then walked the beautiful gardens and there is much to see. We had a great time and would thoroughly recommend. We did not stay at the hotel, but may now do this in the future.

This beautiful hotel is a great place to stay. It has a brilliant garden to stroll in.The hotel is steeped in history as it was used as the headquarters for the bomber command which was in charge of the famous Dambusters. The rooms were comfortable with usual tea making facilities. The restaurant in the hotel was set in a beautiful room. Service was excellent the food was delicious but expensive however it was worth it as you paying for a great venue. The bar in the hotel was called the Lancaster bar which contained a great display of the history of the Dambusters. Look out for the tree branch which tell it's own fascinating story. Highly recommend

Great atmosphere, like living on a film set for Agatha Christie! The hotel exudes character and charm. Any history buff would be at home with the links to 617 Sqn.We went for Sunday lunch. Superb quality served in a lovely dining room. Friendly staff who were good at their job.We watched the Afternoon Teas being served in the lounge. They looked fabulous. Will have to stay overnight next time.

Building, staff, room and grounds lovely. Food poor for evening meal and breakfast! Restaurant food trying to be something it isn’t. Warm, pork fatty, my partner got half a duck breast! Stop with the dust, flowers, cubes, splodges, just serve hot, tasty food and decent portions. Think we all had the same gravy/sauce! Good size of ginger sponge but only a teaspoon of mango cream! Breakfast was no better. Buffet style, served for you, warm, slimy eggs. No one asked if we wanted more toast or tea! Disappointed

Staff were absolutely lovely! Had a nice meal here. Only negative point is that I suspect no liqueur had been added to my coffee, as I could not taste it at all. However, would definitely recommend & visit again.

It was a cold winter's day when we stayed at the Petwood Hotel but the warmth and efficiency of the staff soon warmed us up.The breakfast was exceptional as was the evening meal and our room was extremely clean and comfortable. A very clean and tastefully decorated hotel. We stayed here to mark an occasion and paid a little more than we are used to but for the little extra it was well worth it. We shall be definitely return. This is wonderful hotel is wonderfully kept by conscientious staff.

The restaurant has maintained its period aesthetic which might appeal to some and not to all. Regardless of my take on its interior, the food itself was exceptional. The attention to detail on every dish was admirable. The menu itself was a mix of classic ideas and new directions. The coconut in salad of the chickpea cakes was stunning, the scallops buttery and grilled just right and pork with pear done three ways was a mini taste adventure. Service was prompt, professional. A great night out.

Beautiful cream tea here this afternoon. Freshly baked scones with clotted cream and jam, accompanied with a generous pot of tea and generous pot of coffee. Gorgeous gardens, even a camellia coming into bloom. Looking forward to going again.
