The Lakes Restaurant in East Lindsey

The food is fantastic but the service is a little bit all over the place. We had 4 to 5 different waiters to our table and they kept getting things wrong. Just needs a little tweaking.

First time at the Lakes for a while. Just been for Sunday lunch absolutely beautiful, good service, great quality food. Very enjoyable, will definitely be back. My wife certainly enjoyed her Old Fashioned cocktail.

Have you ever had the feeling that you wasn't welcome? We did from start to finish, not a single pleasantly and when I asked was the orange juice fresh the owner appeared to be insulted and in a disgruntled manner said ye, it wasn't fresh it was concentrated.The food was ordinary and the ambiance was poor, but I guess they don't care.I ordered sirloin steak with lots of fat see the reminder on the photo

Very disappointed. Made to wait 30 minutes for a table. We did let the staff know we were unhappy so the service when we did get seated was condescending. The food was OK but they seemed to go for quantity rather than quality. Not a pleasant wedding anniversary evening.

The food is stunning, the views of the lakes are top tier and the staff were tentative and super friendly without being overbearing! Well worth a visit if you're in the area! Plus plenty of parking!!

If you would like to have a great food, in a great themed restaurant next to the lake/ponds and be satisfied with every dish you found your place. Starters are amazing, medium sized, after which you will definitely feel a bit full on stomach. Pizza is baked in their own stone oven, quality and taste is amazing 🤩 size wise 15inch, burgers with double patty perfectly grilled, juices are just pouring, moist meat not dried, steak was also amazing 👍 12 oz it’s quite a lot but manageable without starter. Overall service is in high standard, staff is friendly and helpful. I really recommend for those who seek something different in nice scenery 😁

First, I realised I left without leaving a much deserved tip to the waitresses (which most probably was to do with the rather disappointing phone text I had on my mind just before leaving) and do apologise for this 😳.The staff were clean, smartly dressed, friendly and welcoming, giving attention and clearing the tables at the right times. It shows they have been trained well and the owner cares about the customer.If you want a day out, go visit Gunby Hall - but EAT in The Lakes Restaurant!The food is much better than we expected, home-cooked the traditional way, along with hand cut chips, the best garlic bread I ever tasted, and the salad was spot on!I mustn't forget to mention the tamarisu...it was sooooo good - light, fluffy, and the flavours were perfectly balanced (home-made too!).You really get your money's worth here, and I would greatly recommend this place.Lastly - I hope this good review makes up for me forgetting the tip!(P. S. There's more on the plate than looks in the picture, and I ate every bit 😃)

Fantastic hospitality from the hole team,the outside decking area over looking the lake is beautiful,the food was exceptional. Highly recommend visiting this to anyone local or holiday makers
