First time in the pub looked OK ask if they had a card payment yes they said .purchased two rounds of beer ok fancied l one more no money left refused card because it was less than a £5 come on alreadySpent 12 quid but they want the lions share plus its against the rules of most credit card s visa mastercard

Fantastic place so friendly . We purchased a caravan this year and we have had a fab time. Chose this site a bit quieter as semi retired. Plenty of entertainment & the new staff have worked so hard a credit to them. No sub letting so you get to know the residents on site . Dog friendly fantastic & management do such a great job thank you . N cooper

Sara and her staff (Martin is so nice and funny)are brilliant and give this club an amazing atmosphere. The food is freshly cooked and lovely. And the gin cocktails are lovely. We've been on the site since June and we have been made so welcome. Nothing is to much trouble for them . We had an amazing day bank holiday never stopped laughing. Sara has great plans and ideas for next season. ....can't wait. Xxxxx

The Mermaid is now under new management and what an amazing difference Sarah and her team have made to the place, to start with its spotlessly clean, smells really fresh as soon as you walk in, fresh flowers everywhere, have also noticed some freshly painted walls, apparently the painting is ongoing throughout the season. The family room is fantastic, there is a LARGE collection of toys, tents and games which are all free to use, there are no coin operated machines for the kids to torture parents for money to play them, Sarah and her team wanted to get kids to sit down with each other and play the old and new style board games, like we all did before the internet came along, all I can say is it's working really well and the kids even get a little treat at the end of the night if they tidy all of the toys away (great idea). The food is fantastic and they have weekly specials, Sunday lunch is wonderful with 2 choices of meat and loads of extra gravy if you want it. It is advisable to book Sunday lunch as this place is starting to become very very popular, it's also becoming the new place to be on a Saturday night, great live music every Saturday night and a few games of bingo and a raffle, bars open til 12. All I can say is Sarah is like a breath of fresh air to this place and it's exactly what it needed, a big well done to Sarah and her team. 😊😊
