The Old Stables in Horncastle have been keeping me in supply of French Chic paint! I love this paint so was really pleased when I found it locally. There is always a good amount in stock so when I have needed paint for my home renovation I haven't had to wait for it to come back into stock! Kate is always so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. There is the added convenience of paying for items online and collecting at a time you specify which is really useful. I can't recommend enough...

We moved to Lincolnshire in December, and I was so pleased to find a Frenchic Stockist 10 minutes away. The Old Stables in Horncastle is a beautiful little shop selling not only the gorgeous Frenchchic paint but lots of amazing, handmade, locally sourced items. If you are wanting a special, unique gift for a loved one, friend or just a little treat for yourself pop along. It really is a hidden gem. Kate has been really helpful with advice, so pop it on your list of places to go, you won’t be sorry.

After lockdown in May I went for a wander and found that The Old Stables had been transformed into the most amazing shop! I had such an amazing experience finding all the treasures inside.. I spoke to the wonderful Kate who was extremely knowledgeable about the Frenchchic paint. Kate also supports local artists and makers who are eco friendly and who repurpose/upcycle materials into the most beautiful pieces and all affordable. Kate has and is creating a really special shop and I can’t wait to see it evolve some more! Definitely an asset to Horncastle

Staff were lovely. We had pre booked for a group. The sandwiches were given without order, I couldn't eat some of them so choice was limited for me. No one checked to see if we needed anything further until one of us popped downstairs to ask for butter.Lots of tea when we asked for refresh. Tiny cakes were a bit dry and we didn't know what they were. Scone was lovely but sadly due to an injury caused by a chair I didn't feel like eating it. Getting the first aid kit took a long time while I was still bleeding.Maybe if you go as two or four you get to choose your sandwiches or cakes if so it would be a lovely tea. Ambience of the tearoom is nice.

We go here quite regularly for lunch and it's always absolutely wonderful. Yet to have an afternoon tea as we usually have the ciabatta. Cheese platter was amazing. Nice, friendly service, it's a lovely quiet cafe, tucked away from all the noise.

Lovely place. We really enjoyed it here. I googled dog friendly cafes in Lincoln and this came up. We headed over on a Saturday and were allowed to sit indoors with Marley Dog.Everything was lovely, my only problem was there wasn’t a great vegetarian choice. I wouldn’t touch a veggie breakfast anywhere unless it was a veggie restaurant as you can’t trust it’s not been cooked with meat. Otherwise it was great. Nice and clean and dog friendly. Pic is Marley en route to the cafe.
