Went for family Sunday lunch, very nice. They changed tables so we had more room. Nice waiter. Meals received quite quickly. Only dropped a star due to bill being wrong and no apology from anyone, if hadn’t checked, could have paid £100 too much. But very good food, in nice setting.

Visited the restaurant as a large family group at the beginning of the year on a Saturday evening. It was extremely busy and the food was average however; returned again with husband in tow and although very busy, the food and service had vastly improved. Steak cooked to perfection and the fish and chips were excellent. Will definately visit again and hopefully the standards will be maintained and 5 stars given.

A really great Sunday meal, a party of 6 with a mixture of menu items. The Sunday lunch’s in particular were very good. Great service, but, the bill included an extra 5 meals, almost double what it should be. This was corrected, but no apologies whatsoever.

I went for an evening meal here with my wife and another couple who are close friends. The service and food was excellent and the menu was different and exciting. The price was slightly lower than I expected to pay.The staff are friendly and welcoming. I really enjoyed it here.

Met with some friends on Saturday 12th March, we had a meal and a couple of drinks (or so)... pre-ordered our meals, so we received them fairly quickly. Food looked great when it arrived, and taste wise, didn't disappoint. Id seen some reviews that said the chips were bland, pale and not tasty, so i didn't order any, however a friend did and i pinched a couple of hers, they definitely were NOT undercooked, pale or tasteless, they were the best chips I'd tasted in years, fresh and so tasty. We retired to the bar after our meal, it was noisy yes, but it was atmospheric, it didn't bother us, we could still hear each other talk. I would definitely go again.

Great Sunday Roast. Table booked for 5pm.Please be aware they do sell out of meals and beef this late in the day. So don't expect to have the full choice on the menu.Even so, great food, excellent service.

Had a beautiful steak with all the trimmings. The chocolate brownie was the best I've ever tasted. I have only one criticism. The glasses could do with a polish once they have been washed in the machine. I found them to be smeared . Will be dining here again very soon. My compliments to the chef and staff

Such a great pub for a meal. The menu is really good and there are a wide range of food available. Drinks are good just what you'd expect from a pub. Route 66 is also great, food is lovely and prices are slightly expensive but worth it. Inside the pub itself it is very pleasant with friendly staff on hand to support. Great beer garden which would be perfect in summer.
