Tonys Plaice in East Lindsey

Some very unfair reviews on here... We had three fish teas from here tonight and they were all absolutely first class. Fish was very fresh and cooked to perfection and chips were delicious. Very friendly people 10 out of 10 👍

Batter is superb. Tony is a lovely guy, we spent some time chatting to him while he cooked our fresh fish. Go there whenever we are in Louth.

The cod was recommended by a very pleasant young lady/ waitress..Myself and my wife have never tasted such an awful piece of fish in our lives.I was told it would be freshly cooked .when it arrived it was without exaggeration disgusting.thebatter was like rubber with no hint of crispness and the fish itself was dry ,yellow and no thicker than 10mm and that's being generous .The chips were fine but at a cost of £18 for the two meals it was not worth it.Maybe I should have complained but if the chap who fried it had the front to serve it then I don't see the point.We will not be going back.ive given one star purely for the waitresses pleasant manner

Flys are everywhere in the cafe area at the back. I saw the man who dose the frying smoking nit even at meter away from the fryers. Dirty dont go.

It was ok but the chips were very dry and the free added extra soup and bread were a little bland However, the pot of tea was fine

Very fast service and friendly staff. Delicious fish and chips and mushy peas . bread .pot or tea for two . £19.

Price was good but the meal disappointing .stale oil chips were horrible .

Absolutely rubbish. Cold chips and left with half a tray of crispy potato cuttings.

Friendly staff but Avoid, cold tea, cold soup, dodgy pie, ok chips. Go to masons instead, same price but fantastic
