This pub/hotel/trstaurant is located in Wainfleet in Lincolnshire. It's a quiet, rural village but very pretty if a little bit off the beaten track. We didn't stay in a room but with prices from £90 per night on an August Bank Holiday they seem reasonably priced. We did eat in the restaurant arriving around 1pm and there were a few locals in but plenty of seats inside as well as s Beer Garden. We ordered Rump Steak (served with tomato, mushroom, onion rings & chips)......and it was absolutely superb.Cooked just right, it was succulent and melted in the mouth. The one I had was huge snd at just £12.95, it didn't break the bank either. All food & veg, etc. are locally sourced and all the more tasty for it.A pleasant surprise as we hadn't planned to visit but we will definitely return.

Had Sunday lunch there for the price, just too much, took a doggie bag home.Even the child's portions are big.Friendly staff, good service.

HOTEL:The hotel is in a very convenient to nearby Skegness and Ingoldmells. If youre looking for a cheap and cheerful night then you've got yourself covered with this place. The rooms are generally a good size and the place is quite nicely decorated. Very good size TV in the rooms and the beds are fairly comfortable. There is parking across the road on the square which has no restrictions. The only criticisms I have of the place is the cobwebs in the room and the hot water. It's nigh on impossible to have a bath as the hot water simply trickles out the tap, the shower is fine but the bath is pretty much unusable. And there were cobwebs in the corner of the room. The reception was fairly frosty too. You walk into the pub and it seems as though it's very much a "locals" pub. Everyone stares you down and it goes quiet ... Quite surreal.Other than the slight criticism it was a nice place. The rooms were OK.

aid £80/night for a bed only.No breakfast and a freezing cold room, hot water non existent. More like a doss house than an inn

Arrive Sunday mid -day., at the Woolpack pub & Kitchen, the pub just opened at 12 noon, we settle down after parking my car, for a few drinks, and the staff introduced themselves to us, most helpful & pleasant. arrange Sunday Roast, with wine, excellent , tasty, & hot meal.. then had a walk around the Market place & surrounding areas, very pleasant. checked in at 3pm..all very relaxing . attended a close friend's funeral at 11am & later avisited all his friends at the wake. we had trouble getting a taxi, and the owner of the Woolpack drop us off in his car, lovely gesture. we had a meal on Monday night, very tasty again. The Owners Mike & Lynda were very attentive to the quests. very pleasant stay..many thanks .Peter
