The Carriage House in East Northamptonshire

First visit to this restaurant and I'll definitely be coming back. Firstly, things to be aware of: it has a car park but only for 3 cars and really tight, but plenty of parking in the square opposite. Restaurant is on the first floor so don't be put off by the busy (and sometimes loud) pub below. For those less able, there is a small lift. This is a very good restaurant and well worth a visit if you are in the area. Between us we had the whitebait, scotch egg and baked camembert starters, and the cow pie, shepherd's pie, pork tenderloin and sea bass - all excellent. The shepherd's pie came with lamb steaks and 2 cutlets, and portions were a decent size. Not a massive choice of wine but something for everyone. Wide choice of gins. 5 stars all the way.

Booked a table for 3 people on Saturday 18th June. Bar area was good, clean and bright.Staff friendly.Went up to restaurant at booked time ( only about 6 others at another table.Waited around 30/35 minutes for starter (had only ordered 1). About 50/60 minutes after, out mains arrived!! Hubby had fillet steak and chips, ordered med to well done, steak was oozing blood it was so rare!! Chips look so dark and greasy must have been dregs of fryer from the day. Waitress took steak to be re cooked and said that was last portion of chips (not surprisingly).Steak came back still quite rare so not eaten.Did take price of that meal off bill but damage done then , evening spoilt.I had sea bass which was ok. Other meal was the cheese and chive waffle with burnt mushrooms and spinach on top and a hard poached egg. Very disappointed overall with restaurantWould not recommend

We were served by summer this evening..she's amazing and helped us with recommendations on the menu, she's welcoming and offers a brilliant service! The food is brilliant are extremely happy!

Visited for a wake, plenty of space for us all, but the food was out of this world!! I have never seen a spread like it!!Will definitely consider The Carriage House for any future functions.

Have been here a few times this year and absolutely love it, staff are friendly food is to die for would highly recommend it. Have a reservation for this evening and I am sure they won't disappoint.

Amazing food & great service in the restaurant. Excellent value too when you go during special offer times but worth every penny (& pound) even when full price. Highly recommended.

Had 3 courses for £20. Was really impressed. Food was amazing and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend. Will be going back again soon.

Honestly the best food in town ! The meals are fantastic, and the whole team make it happen. Well done all!A relaxed environment with superb menu’s (week days and Sunday roasts), if your looking to find a place that is not a chain and fresh produce, this is the place. Look forward to our next visit.

Amazing pub and restaurant that we are really lucky to have so nearby.The thought and additional touches Sally and the team put into service is delightful.The food is amazing any day of the week. The drink selection is really good too.

Went there a week ago for sunday lunch and haven't stopped faving on about it to friends family and work colleagues, the food was amazing and lots of it, staff very warm friendly and attentive. The bar area was buzzing and friendly. So nice to finally have a quality restaurant on our door step 👌 thankyou Carriage house staff 👏👏
