Went for afternoon tea. It was Sunday and a sunny afternoon so it was pretty busy. Car Park was full but managed to find a space on road. There is a car park at the dead end at the bottom for which you have to pay but this was full too. Just arrived at the wrong time c2pm.However the afternoon tea was great. Nice big pot of strong tea. Excellent sandwiches and scones. Plus cakes which I couldn't finish. The young wating and service staff were well mannered, polite and attentive.Would give it 6 stars if I could.

Really beautiful place tucked out of the way. Staff were lovely and great customer service. great selection of sandwiches for the afternoon tea. Cold drinks were available for the booked afternoon tea which was excellent. So shocked by the selection of cakes it was amazing all so delicious soft and beautiful. Will definitely be coming back!

Had a lovely lunch here, nice panini & the slaw was beautiful. Also tried the blueberry scones, delicious... And the pot of tea was substantial. Perfect balance of everything. Great hospitality, very friendly atmosphere, and not overly expensive. A little hidden gem. The wife and I went out of our way to try this place and will be visiting again.

Lovley quaint tea room. Very friendly staff. Afternoon tea was lovley. Was plenty of food. delicious cakes and sandwiches. I Had to bring my children at the last minute. They were very accomidating. Adding some extra to the platter for the children. They also have a bit in the garden to sell plants. But there was not really any there atm. Due to the time of year I asume. There is also a lovley seated area in the garden. I would definitely like to go again.

The Old Barn is not much to look at at first, the staff serving us were attentive but inexperienced, and the prices were a little more than average. However, the friendly attitude and the quality of baking is second to none. We booked ahead for a lovely afternoon tea. As a coeliac I was well catered for and they didn't mind me double checking with the kitchen to make sure everything I was served was gluten free. It can be very difficult to get good quality gluten free baking in a café or restaurant (and when you do it's often out of a packet from the supermarket)The tea is served in beautiful mismatched vintage cups and saucers, there is a good range of teas to pick from. The afternoon tea was more than enough for a full meal, we even had a doggy bag to take home with us. :-)

A lovely little place. Very cosy & Quint, in a converted barn. Personal service too. Highly recommended!
