The Olive Branch in East Northamptonshire

Went yesterday for lunch with dog and baby. I informed before hand so they were prepared. Table in bar, opposite the bar! Uncomfortable seating. Should not be made to feel so out of the ordinary with a dog. All flooring wipe clean, but not allowed to sit somewhere nicer. As previous reviewer stated expected grand things and rather disappointed. staff lovely and attentive. Had to complain about the seabass, not even enough for two mouthfuls, bowl full of cheap grated greens. Told “the flavours are the important thing” yes but as long as there is enough to actually taste it!! Lamb was lovely. Desserts mediocre. Shame, visiting as on hols. Try to revise your policy on dogs most people have one you know!

Sincerely delicious meal at this very pleasant Olive Branch Restaurant.. Superb table side service, outdoor dining in their beautiful garden, enjoying every plate that was served to our table..

Celebrated a wedding here. Cannot fault it, fantastic food and ambience in a private dining room. Also stayed at the Beech House across the road and it was equally as impressive.

Having been several years since I visited I found the pub looking as lovely as ever. BUT the Sunday lunch was well below par. Beef good but roast potatoes really poor, Yorkshire reheated - veg rather too much bite. Gravy just like Bisto. Horseradish “cream” seemed to have ignored the horseradish. Staff not paying attention to diners trying to flag them. Hmmm well overpriced for the quality

Always superb food, lovely atmosphere and very good service.

My husband and I have eaten all around the world and, although the food was OK, we really did NOT feel that it was deserving of the highly inflated price. Friends had taken us but we felt we had to split the bill as, for basically, a ‘pub mealI’ with two young children, this was ridiculously over-priced. Additionally, the options for vegans is very narrow and disappointing. Quality of the desserts poor.

Food was excellent service was excellent.. but unfortunately the portions were on the small side !!! Churchill Farm Chicken breast, grilled onion, leeks, sweetcorn & jersey royals you need to add a few more Jersey royals. !! Not just 2 ..

Having heard so many good things about the Olive Branch, finally have had the chance to check it out. It didn't disappoint! Food fantastic, service impeccable, choice of beers wines and cocktails incredible, and the setting beautiful - spotlessly clean and so nicely finished without feeling pretentious. Will certainly be going again soon hopefully!

We had an evening meal, bed and breakfast. Throughly enjoyed every minute of our stay. Food was amazing, staff very attentive, and our room very comfortable. We look forward to returning very soon. Thank you to all at The Olive Branch for making our stay such a special one.
