Waitrose in East Northamptonshire

I’ve slipped at Waitrose for years, and am a huge fan. However, although the staff are lovely, this shop runs out of items too often. It’s only a small shop, although some of the basics should always be available. Also, the vegetables are sometimes tired and soft.

Had numerous encounters with very rude and obnoxious staff here. Would not recommend. Food tends to be short dated. Queues are always long with barely anyone on the checkout or kiosk and they are never in a rush to resolve them. There appears to be a distinct lack of management or customer training skills. Shame they have the monopoly over Oundle. Although local COOP has had a lovely revamp..

Lovely shop.. Always use it when we come to stay.. All the produce is fresh and very good quality. And the staff are so helpful and polite.. Recommended..

Just been to store I felt I am not welcome staff looks at me like I should be in store

Visited at 8:40 this morning and there was just ONE person staffing the checkouts. No-one on the kiosk and, as I a) have not been trained to use the self-service and b) wanted to pay cash, I only had one option - to wait. There was a young lady looking worried, with a headset on but, if she did use it to call anyone else, they did not appear. Appalling management, especially as there are usually more assistants than needed in the afternoons, often in conversation with each other.

Oundle Waitrose, a modern small to medium sized store. Plenty of parking snd trolley stores. The staff are always very friendly and exceptionally helpful. The store has a deli counter, a bakery, beers, wines and spirits sections. There is a good balance of essential groceries and other Waitrose luxury items. Queues are usually reasonable.
