BARTLEWOOD LODGE in Erewash

This was the first time we had visited here. Everything was clean and the staff were very friendly. We both had dinner from the Carvery and we were very happy with our meals. All three of the choice of meats were beautifully cooked and an excellent and plentiful choice of vegetables. Would have no qualms about returning in the future.

Breakfast experience awful from walking in the door and abruptly stopped asking if I had booked. I said no but he still wanted my name and led me to a table that I didn't want to sit at it was like a Military exercise. I sat down waiting for further instruction but wasn't any so just got up and found our way. Very rude Marsham as food wasn't bad as buffet breakfasts go. Someone needs to tell them covid restrictions are over 😤

Probably the nicest breakfast buffet we've ever been to. Everything was good. The food was hot and cooked to perfection. Good range of food and the unlimited coffee was perfect!! The service was also on point.and all of the staff were very friendly and helpful.

It is a great bar/restaurant with great value menu and decent drinks. The new Marston's 61 Deep on tap is 3.8% and a really nice pale ale. Very refreshing and easy to drink. Sunday carvery is really good value and the portions are huge, with an option to pay more for extra meat. Good selection of vegetables. Very tasty and filling are a long walk. Serving staff very welcoming and friendly. Good social distancing measures in place.Came back last week, just as good!

My trip this time was extremely disappointing.I only visited because I had a 50% off code and Toby Carvery was full. After my visit it is clear why Toby was full and this restaurant was almost empty.To start, I paid £9 something for 2 small cordials with water and 2 sugar free cokes.Then there was very little choice of veg, the peas were near the end and very dried up.I bought 3 small and a regular carvery, when I put the gravy on the first small carvery I notified the staff that the gravy was almost empty. By the third small I had to tip and scrape to get the last drip.So, myself and the two children had got a mediocre meal and sat down.There was no gravy for my partner who stood there waiting and even took a call in the time it took for the gravy to arrive, by this point I had finished my meal so my partner was effectively eating alone.I then paid for endless sundaes with unlimited sauce and toppings (this is the only reason I would chose to come here). Although, on this occasion they had no toppings, non at all. Very disappointing for the price. I could have gone to McDonald's on the way home and bought both children 2 ice creams each for almost the same price and they would have gotten much more.To top it off the toilet visit was also disappointing as the flush handle was fixed on the wrong angle and had to be turned upside down to flush.Overall, will not return and many improvements are needed.

Food was great and good value for money. Staff were helpful and friendly. Only small criticism we had was the food service times weren't very clear.We booked a table for 7pm with booking slots available still for 8pm so we thought wed ha e ample time but after we'd been up 2 the carvery they cleared everything away so we couldn't go back for more veg, gravy etc The children wanted dessert so we had to order it when we realised they were clearing up and had to have it served just after sitting down with our dinner. Wouldn't have minded if the times were made clear but with online bookings available an hr after ours we thought we'd have plenty of time..Will def eat there again tho but will double check service times before we go..

We visited this place today, 04/02/2022, to try out the carvery. This time, we booked ahead. The service was great with lots of staff around. The carvery itself was very morish. 3x meats , gammon , beef and turkey. I always pay the extra for the large, which gave us an extra Yorkshire pudding. Absolutely lovely place to visit and eat.

Excellent place for a lovely hot and well cooked carvery. The staff are extremely helpful polite and friendly , place is always clean and well presented . Been going here for years and have NEVER been disappointed with my visit. Highly recommended to all.Pricing is very reasonable as well , thank you to all who contribute to a pleasant experience.

Brilliant pub restaurant carvery was absolutely fabulous. The food was cooked to perfection, the meat was delicious. Staff friendly very good got us table straight away even though we hadn't booked. Definitely go again.

Great service as we arrived early and got seated immediately, kind friendly staff who waited on us with a smile. Had the speciality burger and it was banging. Will be coming again got the customer service and good food.
