Polite staff, good food and great prices. Rooms were comfortable and hotel is well within walking distance of the town centre. Would use again.

Review is for takeaway only - the food is good when they deliver it, but ruined by the sheer incompetence of their staffing. Placed an order at 7.20, they took payment, and when I called them an hour and a half later told us that they had no delivery driver and weren't delivering.They had my number and email address; even if they couldn't stop taking orders online for some bizarre reason, it would have been common courtesy and the bare minimum of acceptable service to let me know the situation.

I took my mum and my dad for a meal it did say steak and English meals but they wasn't so we all had curry instead and that was lovely intil the end I am a vegetarian so I had vegetable curry but half way through eating my meal I found meat in my curry so I wasn't happy

Came her today for lunch and it was great the prices are really reasonable even though it looks like an expensive place to eat. The food is a high standard!!!

Didn’t stay ordered the room. Came cold and was vile. Had to go to another for rice and a naan. Popadoms weren’t even crunchy. Waiting an hour and 20 mins wish I didn’t bother. Never been before and will never have it again.

Decided to have another takeaway after nearly a year as we were let down by the service last time.So we ordered a takeaway today and we only live 4 mins down the road. The website stated a 25 min delivery.. after 45 minutes the food had not arrived so we rang to be told the driver has already left and was on route. 15 mins later still no sign of the driver that left the restaurant with our food.We rang back to be told 'the driver will be there' and then the phone to be put down on us.We waited another 10 minutes before rinning again. The same staff member answered the phone and when questioned why he put the phone down, his answer was because ' the restaurant is busy'We asked to cancel the order and we were promised a delivery within 5 minutes.Food arrived 10 minutes later. This is the second time this has happened to us, so we won't ever order from these clowns again, shame as the food was half decent.Hope this review stops a potential new customer from ordering from them. Head over to Google and find other local restaurants with a better reviewing rating.

DON'T STAY OVERNIGHT! We booked a family room for 2 adults and 2 kids... We arrived after 10 as we had been travelling which they said was fine. After climbing the 3 flights of stairs we were greeted with a single bed and 2 beds pushed together, the sofa bed wasn't made up and had no sheets to even make it up myself. It was so cold we just climbed into the main bed. Only 2 towels for the 4 of us, not that it mattered as there was no hot water the next morning at all, not even luke warm even at 8am. The little portable heater stank when turned on so it wasn't a comfortable night, never mind the noise from the main road. We weren't expecting alot with the price but should have been given the basics, warm bed for the 4 of us and a hot shower. Didn't bother staying for breakfast as we all stank and had little sleep so just got on the road.I'm sure they are very nice but terrible stay, shouldn't have such a high rating, perhaps that's just for the food. Never ever again.Oh and please put a curtain the window by the bed, don't let the name fool you.. I don't like waking at dawn 😤

Only went for breakfast on Sunday morning price was£7.99 including coffee and have to say one of the best breakfasts I've had bacon was cooked to perfection and eggs were beautiful service was excellent would highly recommend this place for breakfast will definitely been going again also place very smart and clean

Lovely clean room,good shower, plenty of towels and hot water. TV remote control broken ,noisy because of beingnext to main road. ..which can't really be helped.On arrival we liked the photos of the breakfast so ordered and paid for it for the following morning.Slept fairly well despite noisey street.Came down stairsat time arranged to find a man sleeping on the sofa . He woke and we asked for breakfast.To be fair it was probablyjust lack of communication..hence our food took a while and when it came it was not good ..gritty scrambled eggs,broken fried eggs, burnt hash browns. quite unpleasant really. Being typical British folks we didn't complain!Maybe they are great at doing evening food..but we won't be rushing back ..not forbreakfast anyway!

Fantastic hotel, friendly staff, great value for money, good location. I stayed here for two night whilst recovering from surgery. The first night I ate in the restaurant. Food was lovely and you get 20% off the second night I got a takeaway and the staff were so accommodating, they brought the food to my room with a plate and cutlery. Great value for money, even though it's on a main road you couldn't hear the traffic from my room. Many thanksDan room 6
