Shame quite and place used to be packed on a Sunday, but Sunday lunch still amazing especially the red Cabbage 😋

·

Excellent food (as usual) and great staff

Staff very friendly, venue nice and clean hand sanitizer around. Was here for a function atmosphere was buzzing. Would use this venue if I needed to do a function. Large car park

This is a local pub to us, and has changed hands a few times over the years. The staff are welcoming and friendly, they have a decent sized car park, outdoor areas, one at the front with tables and seats, and one at the side, all fenced in with a couple of climbing frames for the kids.It is a nice place, great for a catch up with friends etc. They need to redo the outdoor area to the side, the whole of the grassed area is uneven and not easy to walk on, it could be a great area rather than a barely ok one.Inside is a little dark, so new lighting would help and possibly some redecorating here and there.Great place, great staff, just needs a little work and it would definitely be a 5 star place.

Had sunday lunch during lockdown and it wasn't very good. Beef was chewy, mash 'potato' was smash (takes no time at all to make proper mash) and the yorkshire pudding was a pancake and burnt. Only redeemable bit was the roast potatos which where amazing! Will have to visit again after lockdown.

My friend recommended the pub, saying it was a great place to drink. I was not let down, I ended up drinking a mix of sambuka and Whitney Neil. Which I must say is very competitively priced. I felt like one of the locals from the moment I walked in. It's very spacious inside I would say almost airing on being to inviting. I would of stayed longer but after starting drinking at 2pm and fair few dubbles neat I felt rather worse for wear by 5 or 6. The whole escapade inspired a trip to Gloucestershire which lead to the best long weekend I've had out all year! Next time I'm in need of some inspiration I know where to go for a drink. If you suffer from writers block you have to go here!

Nice pub , pool table , outside seating .

Whilst I enjoyed my carvery, the other two people I was with had the tail end of the meat which was mainly fat and gristle, their Yorkshires were black/burnt and the roasts overdone and I thought it strange that you could not go for your carvery untill invited up by the waitress to do so.

Sunday dinner, pleasantly surprised, four choices of meat, 8 choices of veg. Chef nailed the yorkshire puddings and sticky toffee pud. Really enjoyed it, I'd definitely go again. The chef is a really nice bloke, bar staff are nice. Clean modern toilets.
