Golden Oriental in Erewash

Food is nice for a chinese but it's always late, ordered on 3 occasions and the best outcome was the food being just over an hour late but the worst was 3 hours late. Decent food but don't order if you're really hungry or expect any level of customer service

Just had an amazing Chinese from Golden Oriental Long Eaton, the food was hot and tasty, not greasy like other places have been, more than enough to share, 10/10 well done, 100% recommend, also the guy on phone was polite and helpful, thank you x

Ordered black pepper sauce with steak came as gravy with black pepper in it taste not nice at all watered down soggy chips only thing nice was the mushrooms £25 in the bin . First and last time !!!

Ordered Thursday evening dinner for 3 was huge portions and one of the best chinese meals I have had for long time.

I have ordered from here a few times since we moved to Long Eaton this summer. And every time I have been happy with the taste and temperature of the food. Each of the dishes taste different and as you would expect them to taste. The portion sizes are good.My only criticism is not of the restaurant itself but of its customers. If you are a vulnerable person who was shielding in March, do not visit the restaurant in person have it delivered instead. I have seen customers not sticking to the rules on a couple of occasions.

Ordered on just eat. Said 2 hours for delivery which we nearly cancelled but left as we have had from here plenty of times and with a 90 minute waiting time it had been early... 2.5 hours later nothing.... Called the restaurant and they had clearly forgotten.. Said it would be 15 minutes... 40 minutes later it arrived...a whole 3 hours and 10 minutes after we had ordered... Their only saving grace was that the food was hot!

Usually have good experiences here but the last time I ended up putting the phone down as the woman couldn't grasp what I wanted and the difference between black bean sauce and black pepper green pepper sauce, maybe to them it's the same thing but when it says separate sauces black bean and black pepper obviously they're labelled separate so they're slightly different dishes and what I wanted was black bean not pepper so in the end I ended up not ordering and putting the phone down and translation seemed too difficult. Usually no problems ordering so maybe new owners again?! Will attempt again in future as food usually is nice and will update review when and if necessary

Ordered through just eat at 7pm expected delivery was 8pm... 8pm came and nothing so checked on the app delivery had been delayed to 9.05pm. At this point there had been no communication with us, we just happened to check the app and the information was on there. We was a little miffed as we was hungry but thought ok we will wait for our food. 9.05 arrived .. and yes you guessed it no food! Checked the app arrival time had changed to 9.30pm. So I rang the establishment to ask when we was to expect delivery. A lady answered the phone to just reply “we are busy” no apology, I went on to ask when we was to expect our food and she replied “when it’s ready”I can’t begin to explain the frustration and disappointment I felt with this response. When dealing and working with the public this isn’t acceptable. The phone call ended with her putting the phone down on me.I was no where near getting a refund or an apology and this is just unacceptable. I won’t be ordering from here again.
