I just want to extend my thanks to Tia this evening. I came in for a quiet drink after receiving some bad news today and she was so compassionate and caring. Sometimes it's nice to just step away sometimes and be welcomed like a friend. Thank you for the coffee Tia your words won't be forgotten.

A lovely meal, steak cooked perfectly and nothing was too much trouble. Friendly atmosphere and great service. Highly recommended 😀

Decided to come visit the Harrington arms this even as the last time we come it was delightful however, this time around was not the case, we seated ourselves, had to get menus ourselves, had to return my wine glass as it was filthy and the food was inedible.Would not recommend this place but if your eager to go id go quick before it goes downhill.

Visited on a Friday night with a group of friends for dinner. As they were so busy, service was slow. We had to ask for more drinks at the table, we had to ask for the dessert menu and the food took a little while to come out but having said that, the food was so lovely and the waitresses were really friendly and smiley. Hence the 4 stars.

Great Green King pub for good value food. Friendly staff, always a warm welcome and nice ambience. We had Hunter's Chicken and Hunter's Steak. It may not be Cordon-Bleu but it is fresh, tasty, hot and well cooked.

So went for lunch on a Friday afternoon, it was not busy, staff lovely. Both of us had garlic mushrooms for a starter which were very greasy and quite hard, basically been in the deep fat fryer to long, also the side salad was going brown. I then had gammon which was lovely, mum had the salmon where hiding amongst the potatoes was quite a large piece of plastic, I'm guessing the potatoes were boiled in a bag possibly. I put my hand up to get the manager's or assistant managers attention which she saw because I got eye contact but I was totally ignored( not a good move Mrs manager). I then got a member of staff and complained, apologies were made and the salmon was taken off the bill. I had heard good things about this pub but my experience was not good, I've spoken to people and nearly everyone has said how bad it is. And as an ex manager of a hotel myself for greenking I was very disappointed, and I'm afraid I got the feeling the manager was up her own backside! Unfortunately this has totally put us off going again which is a shame as the pub itself is beautiful.

Having preordered our meal , originally for 28 reduce to 16 as the covid situation changed the meal went well the staff were brilliant even refunded the deposits for the people who decided not to come. The meal was tasty and well presented , the pate was good and having Mediterranean vegetables with the steak was a nice change to mushrooms and onion rings. The fish dish looked delicious I would have been happy to have ordered it.

Brilliant food. Well run pub. Expensive but great for a treat.

Although we had booked a table in advance in the restaurant side. We were ushered to a table just inside the pub near the outside door. When the waiter was challenged about this he gave the excuse that there was no room in the restaurant which there clearly was. We did get offered a restaurant table and were reseated. Having said that the food was acceptable and most of the staff especially the young lady was very pleasant.

From the warmest of welcomes for our post “wedding” party to the moment we left this was a first rate afternoon.Having suffered average beer in Derby the previous night the beer drinkers in our group were delighted with their high quality real ales. The food menu worked well with the vegetarian in the group commenting on the good choice of options for her.All the food was really nice to be fair.Friendly service throughout helped contribute to a lovely day.Well done everyone.
