Very friendly good service excellent food and wine

Hoggs is an excellent eating experience. Sally who cooks the food, is top of the tree for. Table service is friendly and professional. Christopher Sally's husband, fuels general banter with a smile. Back there again on 1st December for my good lady's birthday.

First visit to Hoggs Bistro. We visited at lunch time and the food was delicious. Portion sizes were just right for lunch, good choice of food. Would definately visit again.

Four of us went to the Hoggs Bistro last night and it was a fantastic evening out.Beautiful layout and decorations and a lovely view of the garden.Very friendly and helpful staff.Great selection of drinks.The food was divine, a simple menu but perfectly executed, absolutely delicious.Very decent price for what we got for the four of us. Starters, Mains, Dessert, Coffee and Chocolate to finish - divine.Will be back again, thank you for such a lovely evening!

What a rare find! Went here for my Sister's Birthday so there was a big crowd of us and from the outside I thought it wasn't going to cope. But how wrong I was. The food is sublime, the service excellent and the hosts a pleasure. The atmosphere is that of a cosy meal in someone's home and I guess from the appearance, it probably started off in that vein. My only criticism was the toilets which are small and I had a problem with the tap not turning off! Although the owner did say they were revamping them in the near future. Cannot stress how superb the food was. I can't ever remember eating a steak and not having to cut off yards of fat - not here, every morsel was devoured. The veg too, which is often ignored, was perfectly cooked and there was loads of it. The owners also went out of their way to make sure that a couple of us fussy eaters got exactly the food the way we wanted it. Absolute dining heaven!

A blast from the past for my husband, his Great Grandad Hogg used to own the cobblers here and brought back so many memories. It was our wedding anniversary and from the minute we arrived until we left, we were made to feel so very welcome and couldn't have looked after us any better. As for the food it was just amazing and the desserts are just fabulous. With this being our first visit, we will be regulars for sure. Please make sure you book in advance to avoid disappointment. This place is a little gem.

Very nice, cute little place for something to eat during the day or cuppa. Lovely staff and a must if you're passing. Outside seating at the rear. Home made selection of food.
