So who would have thought that nestled within the depths of Sandiacre, was a restaurant that served such delightful and exquisite food. The restaurant hits the spot not only on your palate, but with a relaxing ambience that makes the experience all the more enjoyable. Cooked by culinary specialists who know their way round the high class kitchen.

Another excellent tasting menu from my favourite restaurant. It was all superb, but the beef in particular was to die for

Fantastic food, friendly staff, great service (even though it was busy) and passable music. Our favourite restaurant is Fischer's of Baslow, but as for how good the food is, you couldn't get a bible page in between them. In fact, and it almost pains me top say it as I've been a frequent visitor to Fischer's for many years, I'd say La Rock just pips Fischer's to first place taste wise.We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch folks, you didn't put a foot wrong. We'll see you again soon.

Amazing and intimate experience! Great food. Will definitely visit again many times. Chef is very friendly.

What can I say! Excellent on all counts. Friendly, attentive staff. Food is delicious with the Chef serving little 'tasters' between your courses. A great place for something a little special.

We've been to La Rock three times now and each time has been absolutely outstanding, from the attentiveness and knowledge of the servers, to the expertly cooked and presented food. It's the personal touches like remembering where we were seated last time and being genuinely pleased to see us again, that make La Rock so specialOur most recent visit was for a Festive Taster Menu. The little Amuse-Bouche at the start, a Poppodum cup filled with a curry mouse and Mango was so full of flavour and you could taste each individual component. Absolutely beautiful.Now... I don't eat fish. At all. But the Halibut with Carrot and Ginger and little zesty 'Caviar' balls of Yuzu was amazing. I'd happily have that again.I could write reams about each individual course, but I'll spare you that... Just book a visit and try for yourself. We're already booked in for April 2022.

Lovely little gem of a restaurant, quality service and menu

This is a wonderful restaurant just off the M1. I decided to break a long journey for South to North with lunch here, and it was one of the best decisions I have made I years. The two complementary snacks were wonderful and the two courses fantastic cooking for just £25, it is amazing I was able to book a table. If you are in any doubt about going here, go. If I were to have a slight niggle, advice on wine to match my food choice could have been better, but this is a very minor point.

Visited as a celebration of a few things recently. Lovely venue. Beautifully clean, presentation and atmosphere. Food exquisite especially the amouse buche! We enjoyed mocktails and they have an extensive non alcoholic menu. Overall some of the best food we have eaten- the goats cheese and quince starter was phenomenal and my other half loved the cremue. Would certainly return for special occasion but overall good value.

Great dinner with La Rock. Excellent food and great service. Who knew soy sauce and blackberries made such s great pairing? Had the best cut of venison ever, and will now be disappointed at all future restaurants.
