Magic Wok in Erewash

This used to be my favourite takeaway. The food is still good, but the delivery time is awful. Currently still waiting 90mins after ordering when estimated time was 45mins-1hr. The phone line is constantly engaged so you can't even get a revised eta.This happened the last 2 times I ordered from them. The last time I ended up driving to the restaurant to try to collect after 2hrs. I won't be ordering from them again.

Not the fattest delivery but absolutely lovely food and friendly service

This is really good Chinese food take away whatever the fried rice and noodles, especially sweet and sour chicken ball. We must order again!

Ordered from here last night. The food was ok but it was the dishonestly I disliked the most. My partner gave you what she thought was 3 £10 pound notes and you quickly gave her £5 back knowing that she had given you was £40 instead of £30 and then you disappeared very quickly. She had just done a 14 hour shift at work so was tired and didn't realize she had given you £20 and 2 £10 notes.To be dishonest like that and rip your customers off of £11.10 is not only disgusting but given this current climate unforgivable. We opted to keep the local businesses afloat during this pandemic and what is the point when some think its ok to rip you off?Had you been honest and said you have given me over £10 to much you would have kept our custom and we would have been regular customers of yours. So inevitably you have done yourself a disservice because you have cost yourself regular customers.Our order was £25.10. We had also given you a tip and paid for delivery and you still ripped us off.Shocking service, shame on you.

The food was beautiful and we couldn't fault it, however we called in in person and the wait was absolutely awful. We only ordered two chow mein dishes, spring roll and a bag of chips and we had to wait 40 minutes. They were too busy getting phone orders and not leaving time for people walking in. We would definitely not call it a quick take away and would definitely think twice before going again.

i don't reccommend. food was cold. currys sause was lumpy and delivery is so long that it seems like the food is coming all the way from china.

I used to be a regular. Would order once or twice a week every week. But lately the prices have gone right up and the quality of the food has gone right down!! Everything tastes like it’s been microwaved or burnt. Very disappointed. I won’t be ordering again as it’s quite expensive for not nice food.

Just had a chow mein from here and had to 'drain' it from the oil that had been used. I got 3+ tablespoons off. Also had hot and sour soup which had heat but no flavour, crunchy veg but no meat. Portion sizes changed too. 11/2 mushrooms cut into quarters per portion. Ha. Ha.

Multiple wrong orders and late deliveries, we've even had orders here cancelled completely without notice.Food is nice but service is bad, if you're eating here collect and check your order.

The food arrived cold, they refused a refund unless I took the cold food in. They continued to refuse a refund when we arrived. They had the most rude delivery drivers I have ever met shouting comments across the room when we were in the takeaway. The owners where literally shouting at us from across the counter while we did not raise our voices once. There were also jokes made about spitting in any further food made for us, hence we did not want replacement food and just a refund. I'm just extremely disappointed and would highly recommend you don't go there. That is as honest as I can be.
