Great pub, great staff, great beer - had an awesome time that turned into an impromptu music session. We will definitely come back next time we are in the area.

Chocolate Stout, Rhubarb Cider and a Stilton topped Pork Pie. Can't beat it.A food menu might be a good idea though!

Great place, lovely choice of real ales, ciders etc. Also get yourself a great takeout of different cheeses and pork pies too.. delish!! Amazing selection, my new favourite place to go. Excellent service from the chap behind the bar, so very friendly and welcoming. 10 out of 10, can't fault a thing!

Small real ale pub...serves other alcoholic drinks, owner has a warm welcome, good service fair prices, nice atmosphere.

Awesome pub. Great welcome from the landlord. Friendly atmosphere. Beer has always been spot on. Good selection of beer snacks too. Sausage rolls and pork pies frequently available. Wish I lived closer.

Quite simply the best ale House for miles around with Simon the finest host you could wish to meet. I'd give it six out of five if I could

Great back-street boozer. Strong range of beers and wide selection of snacks too. Warren of rooms to navigate but you'll find a seat sure enough!

Gem of a place. Fine array of bottled beers with a chalk board for specials including porters, milds, ciders, dark and light ales and all well kept. Staff are great and a wonderful atmosphere. Loved the array of different pork pies, black pudding and cheese that they chop up for you and thick pork scratchings.3 rooms, you'll do well to get a seat. Certainly on trend this place has just won an Erewash Camra award for 2017, well deserved.
