The Butchers Bar and Steakhouse in Erewash

Regularly go to The Butcher's for Sunday lunch and it's always a hit. Good portions of delicious roast meat (choice of meats), interesting selection of veg and Yorkshire Puddings. Other items available from the main menu too (except for pizza which is only available on Friday and Saturday). Relaxed atmosphere and good service.However, visited with family on a Friday night and although steaks and pizza were high quality and cooked perfectly it was so noisy as there was live music in the bar next door that it was hard to enjoy the meal and we just wanted to get out of so we could hear ourselves again. Definitely will be back but probably not on a Friday.

Actually incredible all around. The Sunday roast is the most perfect tasting & combination of foods I have ever experienced. Awesome staff, outstanding chef, stunning venue and I will take a long drive up this part of the country again - even if purely to visit this steakhouse with my girlfriend.Whoa. So good.

Great meal and fabulous atmosphere. Seven of us dined and we had a few starters, all had mains and a few desserts were ordered too. Great value and really good food and service.

Lively and excellent atmosphere. Beef cooked perfectly, worth the ticket. Staff are welcoming and friendly. Waiting time isn't to bad. The stake pizza special was excellently made from scratch. Worth a return for any fancy parties or a lovely evening.

A great find! Absolutely amazing steak and beautiful starter! Have to say the quality of the desserts do not match the rest of the meal, which was a great shame. Safe to say the best steak we have ever had

Went for Sunday Lunch. It was marvellous , it was excellent. Easily the best Sunday Lunch in the area. Pleasant, smiling staff who gave good service. The beef was medium rare, nicely pink in centre, tender and the pork also excellent. Don't understand why it isn't full on a Sunday as it is far better than others in the area for Sunday Lunch. Had migraine and had to leave quickly, sorted bill quickly for us, missed dessert as a result! Will be back .

Good quality food but too loud for a restaurant.The food was hot, tasty and I can't fault the service either but it's also about the experience and for the price it's meant to be a restaurant experience not a club.The noise in the bar is just too noisy and when you're paying £17-60 for an steak you want a nice restaurant experience.I wouldn't return as it is now.

My only criticism was that there was no valentines menu, but everything else was perfect. Was greeted by smiling helpful staff and shown to our table.Service was prompt and we were struck by the happy cheerful Service by all the staff. Wine was lovely my steak was cooked perfectly my partner choose the Brisket which she enjoyedOverall was very pleased with the night and would definitely recommend.

was a let down. Expected big things.As we had read some reviews ahead of booking for works meal out. Steaks were not great.!!Costs high compared to quality. Fair options available of steaks but certainly not adequately cooked for any member of our party, We had a fair few of us. Squid not crispy as described bar 3 tiny pieces. This was across the board of those who ordered. The chicken wings were a hit though! Yay!DESSERTS ... HMMM such a limited menu... what happened there? choice of how many?Perhaps this needs a revision.So staff. They were great upon arrival. Great with cutlery sets etc. Ordering drinks/food.Served the starters- check back on starters. all good .Mains came out. Everyone's eating.- no check backs until almost people had cutlery / napkins back on plates and were chatting away.That's a Fail.Then plates cleared asked about the minimal dessert menu order and asked us to move to the bar area as they needed the tables for the group. .I don't think any of group will return for food .
