Quirky canalside pub. Good selection of drinks at reasonable prices. Tasty home made Burger. Served simply, not all the usual stuff piled high and held on with a squer, that you have to deconstruct before you can eat it. Lots of curiosities to look at

Stopped at this pub on 28th December 2021 for a drink and snank while on a walk past the lock. Decided to sit inside as it was quite a cold day. Unfortunately the chair my pregnant wife sat on collapsed in to pieces deposited her on the floor. Called to the staff for help, but they couldn't care less. Eventually they removed the pieces of chair and placed them with a collection of other broken chairs.I shoul point out the my wife is 5'1", petite and 17 weeks pregnant. So not heavy.

Stopped here in the middle of our bike ride today. We had lovely coffee and a light lunch. The food was lovely and well presented, the coffee was delicious.We sat outside as it was a lovely day, when I stepped inside there were so many lovely things to look at and funny quips to read.The staff were also friendly and efficient. Would recommend.

What a lovely day out 13mile on how push bikes, Shipley park to steamboat Inn.Great old fashioned pub over looking canal and river trent.good homemade sculptures, friendly staff. You need to go see for yourself.

A good all round pub nice to hear some music and sit out and enjoy the fresh air and the homemade roasts are simply superb!!! Will be back for more!!!! Staff very accommodating indeed 🙂🙂

Great pub on the canal with friendly staff!!I never went inside as the weather was warm and it was a passing visit, so we were served outside!Whilst we were enjoying our drinks, the chef suddenly appeared and was giving out some lovely bowls of chips because he didn't want to waste them -- how often does that happen!! What a great chap!!It was that act of kindness that has made me do this review!!We will definitely pop back there again soon and have more than just the one drink!!😀🤞
