Best in Nottingham full stop. Fresh food beautifully prepared by people who care. James is a top man and his Mum is amazing. Wouldn't have my chips from anywhere else - not to mention my kebab on rare occasions. Support your local businesses and especially this one.

This used to be our chip shop of choice but we moved areas, alas. The portions are great, the prices competitive and the quality exceptional. Best of all it's family owned, they are warm welcoming and always thankful for your custom.

Best chip shop not just in Arnold but Nottingham. The fish is so fresh and tasty. The batter is crisp and the chips have a unique taste which makes them stand out. Full of flavour. Absolutely excellent would recommend to anyone.

I am giving Arnold fish bar a 5 start review, everything about this chip shop is perfect. I had the fish special which is £4.99 and this has to be the best fish and chips around, it’s 10x better then seaside fish and chips shops too👍🏿👍🏿. Ordered for the rest of the family snd every portion was huge with a reasonable price!Having lived in Arnold for 19 years and trying all the food restaurants, and chip shops. This is by far the best chip shop in Arnold, and surrounding areas. Absolutely amazing fish and chips the other night from here and also a great kebab couldn't believe how nice the meat was ,chips were cooked to perfection and the fish was huge, would recommend this place as james and his dad keep it so clean too no mess or dirt anywhere everything stainless steel . I use this shop every week and will continue to do so .

Leaving a review as the current score doesn't seem to reflect the quality. The fish seemed like it was cooked a while ago despite ordering in advance was ten minutes early to collect and the fish already seemed like it had sat there for a while, the batter was also not very fluffy or airy as it should be. The sausage and batter, batter was soggy. The chips were undercooked. All in all very average fish and chip meal. Don't be fooled by the prior reviews. This was also on a Friday night when you would expect it would be at its best. On the plus side the haddock was huge, although I would have took quality over size

My wife and I have been to every fish and chip shop in Arnold not a one can offer the consistency and friendly service that Jamie and his staff do. We travel from Rise Park every week for the FINEST fish and chips in Arnold and beyond and have never had a meal that we haven’t absolutely enjoyed. Jamie, his father and mother care passionately about what they do and it shows in the food they produce. The continual stream of other regulars illustrates we are not the only satisfied customers.Update I’ve tried the large haddock and chips a couple of times now and what a feast it is even better than seaside chippies (what’s happening with them?) if the fish were any bigger you wouldn’t get them in the fryer and the taste is simply exquisite, a meal to satisfy your belly as well as your soul (no pun intended)!
