Great menu. I had the sausage and mash. It was lovely. My husband had the gammon which he described as very tasty with chips that were crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. Our friend had the fish and chips. They were tasty and plentiful.

Amazing atmosphere and lovely aesthetic. The staff are lovely and the food is even more so and comes out in no time at all!I would definitely recommend it to all families and friends outings!

Not been here for a while but the service and food was excellent. Very tasty food, friendly and polite staff and clean tables.Nothing bad to say at all. Will definitely visit again.Thank you to everyone working to make this pub the nice place that it is.

A pleasant experience.😊Basically we wanted to walk in the Sherwood Pines but it was closed 😐 so we decided to pay a visit to Burnt Stump and have a drink and bite.Location:The pub is located next to Burntstump County Park🌳 which is worth to visit on normal weather conditions. It has a nice free carpark just in front of the building. It is a well designed and good looking place with a pleasant atmosphere. On top of that it is doggo friendly. 😊Waiting Staff:As soon as we entered the building a kind waitress showed us to our table and gave us the Sunday menu.In the bar where we ordered, the gentleman with the blue shirt took our order. He had an excellent knowledge about the food and drinks.Food and drinks:We ordered a nachos to share. It was lovely to see that the cheese was melted not like other places where the cheese is burnt and solid. The jalapenos gave a nice kick however bigger portions of dip especially guacamole would have been appreciated. The Buttermilk chicken goujons were delicious and we'll presented. The BBQ sauce was incredible.

Birthday meal for our son so booking for 12, table was ready when we arrived so we were greeted & seated immediately, once we were settled our food orders were taken. Our whole order was brought out together which was excellent service, food was delicious & on a 2 for 1 deal prices were more than reasonable especially for the quality of food.Great family gathering, lovely atmosphere with excellent service from all staff.Highly recommended we will certainly be returning.

Really busy so had to go to bar for table. Was met by Emma who was friendly and helpful. Food was great, plenty of it and wonderfully cooked. The grilled tomato was epic and I'm not even a vegan 😁.

Staff were very friendly and helpful - food was average in my opinion. Most of us had Sunday Roast (beef & chicken) which was ok. Kids meals were fine. My wife had hunters chicken which she said was dry.

After a cold wet walk around the country park, We had a lovely lunch. The pub was very warm and welcoming. The service was fast and the food was excellent. We really enjoyed our visit to the burnt stump.😊

Worst meal out we have ever had.Went out with the family for my mothers birthday meal. There was 10 of us and only two of the meals were edible (Burger and sausage). We had to complain as the steak tasted like water, the fish was disgusting and one of the fish was just batter no fish, and the chicken was dry to the point where it was hard to swallow.Would not not recommend this place for meals at all.If I could rate this as 0 stars I would.

Lovely park & woods. Great for children and dog walking. However I just wish the people responsible for emptying the rubbish bins especially near the pub would do so. Visited today on a Wednesday so not even a bank holiday time and the bins are over flowing not pleasant at all! Sadly the rubblish collection seems an on going problem at what is a lovely area to visit and walk in.
