Friar Tuck in Gedling

I liked the updated menu including where you can get two for one if you're in an odd number by having a main and dessert.Noticed new plates and looks like has had a lick of paint and had a new layout.Noticed the month quizzes aswell, will certainly be back to do one of those!Food lovely and promptly brought out.The jackfruit burger was delicious and it is nice to see good vegan choices on the menu

5 stars given for the two meals, both of which were really nice. We were in quite early for lunch but by the time we left the pub was really busy with food customers, so it is popular. Don't be put off the exterior appearance as it's worth a visit. Once inside the interior is also shabby, but I fully understand that it costs Mega bucks to refurbish a place this big and some pockets aren't deep especially after these Covid times.

Haven't been for a while but popped in with two of my daughter's seeing as I was in Arnold. Very helpful and friendly staff. The food was great value and tasted great. Served by Jennifer at the bar and she made ordering easy.

A group of us went for the first bottomless brunch on sat 29th it was brill. To say it was their first time they did really well as we kept the staff really busy with our drinks orders. Food was beautiful and my steak was cooked perfectly. Even though brunch was 90 minutes we weren't rushed to leave when we had finished. Thank you to all the staff. Cant wait for the next one 😀😀.

Great meal out for my birthday, 11 of us out and all the food came out hot and tasty. Been coming for years and it’s always welcoming. Great selection of drinks and never a bad meal, staff are always brilliant. Get yourself down there!

Excellent... popped in for food with a mate.. top quality and cooked really nicely.. super friendly staff and good all round atmosphere.

Decor needs a little refresh - spesh in the booths where the leatherette is peeling off, but tbh for the price and quality of the food and the range of different things on the menu, I wouldn't want them to change.... The food is really good!

Amazing friendly staff, absolutely spotless establishment and wonderful food. We had the steak fondue challenge and it was cooked to perfection. Will definitely be back in the future. Would definitely recommend

Popped in for a few drinks and got to say what a fab range of cocktails especially the festive ones, will definitely be returning

I've never felt like a local at a pub and finally I've had the feeling of being welcomed in by my first name. Lynne has followed my pregnancy and made me feel completely welcome in our new local... shes takes every attention to detail to remember my three children and partner by first name.. the pub always has a relaxed atmosphere... thwyhave brilliant events on intermittently which we have been able to enjoy.... the food is always great when we cant be bothered to cook at home. Just a great pub. No fear of any fights breaking out. Lynne is strict enough to turn certain people away thus ensuring peace for her regulars and newcomers.....she quite obviously takes pride in the staff she employs as they are all super friendly and good at their jobs. Recommend this pub day in and day out.
