Lakeside in Gedling

This place is nice for a special treat! The staff were super nice and helpful. Was slightly unsure whether it would be any good since it has mixed reviews since it was done up. But, thoroughly enjoyed and would recommend. Taquito trees I'd skip on. Scallops were amazing!

My best friend had her birthday dinner at the restaurant last night and it was a fantastic experience from the very beginning to the end. The staff are ever so professional. They had so much patient for the children as well. Lovely food . Staff who give guest the attention they need. The staff make yiu feel special. The outdoor environment is beautiful

It was our 1st time at Lakeside for a meal, what a pkeasant surprise. The choices were amazing, but the flavours were truly wonderful and the recommendations were delicious.The staff were so helpful and the service was prompt but unobtrusive. Lovely ambiance and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience xx

The venue is beautiful, food was excellent and the service was just spot on. We booked for 10 and they accommodated us in the private area. We had a great time and would recommend The Lakeside to anyone looking for a relaxed, high quality venue with superb food.

This was my 3rd visit to lakeside, 1st was a working lunch, 2nd was Christmas menu and finally was yesterday’s À la cart menu. The food was excellent the white chocolate soup is to die for. The halibut was the size of my fist. My only gripe is the cheese board needs crackers not bread.All in all cheap too table for 6 £1286.67 with all drink including bottle of Krug and Cristal.

I can’t rate this venue highly enough.Samantha and the Lakeside team looked after us from the start, providing us with everything we needed in order to make informed decisions on what we would like for an after funeral gathering.The tower room is fantastic and the food / service was second to none on the day.All staff were really amazing, helpful, attentive, patient and caring.I don’t often provide reviews but felt this was an extra special venue with extra special staff.Thank you Lakeside.

The place is beautiful, my daughter got married here 16 years ago, been many times for lunch, coffee and evening drinks over the years, couldn’t wait to go again.As I said, it’s beautiful, the grounds are the best I’ve ever seen them, unfortunately, the beer is so over priced and even worse, we had two drinks each and when it came to pay the bill, they had stuck £3.25 on the bill for service charges, I couldn’t believe it. I will never go again.

A perfect setting for a restaurant,with the small lake and water fountains in the grounds,a perfect walk for after your foodThe staff were helpful and I liked the fact your allocated a waiter/waitress to your table.The food was fantastic and well presented, the lunch menu was nicely limited in choice, but had a wide variety of dishes. The portion sizes were ample for lunch.I was pleasantly surprised with how reasonably priced it is,with the setting and style of restaurant I expected higher prices, this really is value for money.I will certainly be visiting again, next time maybe for an evening meal.

Great venue! Really stylish but not pretentious. Some really cool details decor wise and had a lovely chilled but luxurious feel. We played at a wedding there last week. Load in wasn't great (quite a few trips needed to load in, so took some time) but sound was good and there's a really good in-house sound system you can plug into pretty easily if you don't want to bring your own.Food was REALLY good and very well presented on contemporary slate platters. Lovely fresh ingredients (not your usual cheap boring wedding buffet fair! 😋). Platters of fruit, breads and cheeses, Mediterranean platters with olives, sun dried tomatoes, crudites etc. REALLY nice!Staff were very friendly, accommodating and on the ball. A couple helped with doors and carrying some of the equipment, which was really good of them and the place was very well kept, which impressed me. I saw a team of cleaners in the toilets at least twice and they were spotless every time I used them, smelt fresh and had toilet rolls and paper towels a plenty, all kept in good order with good quality toiletries, which is always a good marker of quality imo 😉 So yes, easy to give 5 stars to this venue. Playing in a wedding band most weekends, I see a lot of venues and I'd highly recommend this one and wouldn't hesitate to return. Well done team Lakeside - keep doing what you're doing 🙌🏽

Really tried to love this place. We’ve been multiple times and enjoyed both food and drink. The last time the lamb was dry, bitter and tasteless. We thought we’d try again but this time the chicken came dry and over cooked. We had to saw through it. Aubergine was even worse - inedible. This was after being asked if we’d even ordered our mains as we were waiting for that long.We complained about the food and the chef admitted it was not cooked properly. If you’re charging London prices for a great dining experience then this needs to be better. Prices keep going up and it’s £13 for a plate of three scallops as a starter now. Shame as it’s a great venue. Best to choose another venue and pay half the price for better food.
