I first discovered this take away about 4 years ago when I first came to Nottingham for work. In all honesty I wasn’t expecting the standard of food to be anything special. Wow what a surprise I had when our food arrived. Curtesy call from the driver to let us know he was about to pull up at our hotel, hot fresh food delivered and devoured.Every-time we come to Nottingham for work this is our go to take away.4 years down the line the quality of food is still outstanding with a couple more orders this weekend.Already looking forward to ordering next month when we will be back againThank you for such fabulous food and good service

Past 2 times we have ordered for delivery and requested delivery at 7.40 / 7 30 both times turned up at 6.30 when trying to put the kids to bed. Ended up with cold food. Phoned takeaway very rude pretty much stated what more do you want you got your food. Lost a customer that has ordered for the past 4 years. Will not order again.

We have used these quiet a few times and have always been please. The food was always great even though a bit expensive. But the last 2 times delivery has been very slow. And this last time was 2hrs 20m. We had to called them up to find out what was happening. There was no real apology. When my wife said this is terrible service are you going to send some vouchers they said yes. But they sent nothing out and the food was below average on taste and only just warm. I've had better tasting ready meals. We won't be using them again.

Took 2 hours, rice was cold. Called and they lied about how long it would take. Said a few minutes and it arrived 40 mins after. Awful customer service. Peshwari naan was absolutely vile, way too sweet and was covered in oil and some type of syrup? Not nice at all. Won’t be ordering again.

We ordered through Uber and our order took over 2 hours to arrive. We rang the takeaway after about an hours wait to ask where the delivery was, and they told us that it would be leaving the store in about 25-30 minutes. Again, another hour later, still nothing. When we finally got our food it was immensely disappointing. I had a korma and I didn’t even finish it because it just didn’t taste anything like any other korma I’ve had from other takeaways previously- where’s the coconut? Why wasn’t it creamy? Honestly a huge let down. I’ve had jar sauces that tasted better. We received two poppadoms between a large group of us, which I appreciate that they give us any in the first place but knowing how much we’re spending, how many dishes we ordered, and how ridiculously late the order was, they could’ve given a lot more. To be honest the poppadoms were also not up to par. 🤷🏻‍♀️We received no apologies, no compensation, just underwhelming food and a hole in our pockets. Never ordering from here again and I implore anyone else to stay far away also.

Our food took over 3 hours from when we ordered to when we received it. This isn’t the first time it’s happened either, It’s unacceptable. It’s also really disheartening when you ring up multiple times to find out how long your order is going to be. The first time being 40 minutes after the delivery time we were told it hadn't even been cooked yet. We didn't even get any sort of apology. Not once were we rude or impolite, they just simply don't care! No concern for customer satisfaction whatsoever. 3 hours is an absolute joke. By the time the food arrives it’s not even worth it anymore. If it were a restaurant you'd get you money back, an apology at least. The food is nice but nothing is worth waiting that long for.

AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE!We ordered from here via UberEats as we had done previously with no problems! Our order arrived missing two sauces so we advised them and they firstly argued that we had not paid for these even though when I rang them previously on other orders they advised me to place the sauces in the notes section which I did and thus I had done everything different and we had received the sauces on previous orders with no problem! They then proceed to blame UberEats even though again, we had no problems with our orders on previous occasions. The manager was rude, refused to provide us with our sauces and eventually hung up on us. When we rang them back and said we would be bringing the curry back to them they then offered to send us the sauces we originally ordered. They refused to provide us with another meal and thus an hour later and two hours after we initially ordered we finally received the sauces which were wrong and we had to microwave the meal they had delivered an hour earlier! Never been treated so poorly and will never be ordering from them again - AVOID!

Awful long wait for awful food.Ordered through Uber with an hour delivery time given. Took over two hours to arrive in the end. Called after an hour to be told it will be another 20 mins or so. Why lie? Be clear with your customers and do not accept orders you cannot fulfil in time. It’s Saturday night, it’s busy, manage your customers expectations rather than losing future customers.Poor management. Poor telephone manner. Poor reputation by the looks of the other reviews I have seen. The food was sufficient in the same way that a kick in the nethers is a sufficient form of massage. The dish I ordered was overly salty (like this review), bland and about as warm as the inside of a 2 hour dead piece of roadkill. The veg korma tasted more like a fruit salad mixed with mayonnaise. Most sauces felt watered down and I could count the pieces of veg in my dish on one hand.To be fair to the chefs, the other food that was ordered was mixed in its reception amongst my cohorts. It seems mismanagement has let the side down. Over-stretching or a serious case of not giving a darn perhaps. No remorse when questioned over the phone and no comment on delivery. No offer of compensation or discount or bonus. When competition for takeaways is so fierce, how can they allow for such an abysmal downfall across the board?I will not be using Spice again, or recommending it to anybody. I would advise all additional hungry fools to ignore the advice from the Brit-Pop power group and suggest that; every boy and every girl do not, in fact, spice up their lives.Zig a zig ahhll go somewhere else next time!

This isn't the first time I've ordered from here and it certainly won't be the last. This is one of the best takeaways for a wonderful curry. The flavour is delicious and so full. The portions are excellent in both the sauce and the meat, being more than plentiful in both areas. It has always arrived piping hot (hot enough for me to not be able to hold the container too long), so there was no need for reheating like some takeaways I've tried. Honestly think this is one of the most balanced takeaways for flavour, price and portion.

Had a delivery last night , it was delicious hot tasty food. It’s by far the best takeaway I’ve had. Lovely caring staff and very respectful of this present COVID situation. I will be definitely ordering again 😍
