Sprinters in Gedling

First time at sprinters, daughter took me out for breakfast. Really enjoyed it, staff were fantastic and service was great. Definitely be going again

A friendly affordable bar/pub. Formerly the old flying horse pub on high Street. Its changed over the years adding a snooker club to it before it closed. Anyway I digress. Sprinters is now a family of 5 pubs I think dotted around Nottingham. Good food served with a smile. Staff very friendly and helpful. It's more an eating establishment rather than an actual pub. Prices are reasonable when compared with other establishments. They serve a good range of breakfasts, lunch and evening options, and are reintroducing steak nights etc, which was a feature before Covid. They also offer room hire for events.

All I can say is a very big Thankyou to all the staff present today, June 3 rd 2022, we were a group of 23 celebrating my sons 21st birthday with all different age groups.The meals were hot and beautifully cooked, there was very full tummies afterwards, to say it was a big order everything was spot on, the staff were so attentive and made my sons birthday meal a very special occasion.We didn’t feel rushed in any way, like some places we have been to in the past, such a nice laid back friendly atmosphere.We would certainly recommend this place and we will be back for our wedding anniversary, but just 2 this time.

I called in at Sprinters for a nice lunchHad a cup of tea first, then ordered a steak and ale pie with new potatoes and peas. A large piece of pie that was lovely peas were nice but NEW potatoes NO. They were old potatoes and not cooked long enough also had 3 glasses of cold lemonade. Then paid and left as l was going to see about bowls (at the end of Sainsburys) so bought a bottle of water as it was so hot. Sat outside and had a drink of water next moment l was sick all over the drain. Then bought a bottle of diet coke had two drinks and was sick twice again. Didn't go to bowls just caught a taxi home. WHAT A DAY.

Staff friendly and despite being busy I didn't have to wait very long. Food hot and tasty. Wether you have a simple jacket potato or a steak meal this place can't be beaten on cost.

Went as a last resort and regretted it when the food arrived. I'm surprised this has so many 5 star reviews.My order came wrong, I ordered a burger but got the hunters chicken. To be honest, with the quality of the burger meal I probably should have just gone for the hunters chicken.Most of the food was of cafeteria quality. The burger patty was from frozen, generic square slice of cheese and a disappointing burger bun. The portion of chips filled the entire plate and looked like they came from a chippy 5 days ago. My partner had roast pork, the gravy was bland, stuffing had the texture of glue and the actual pork was dry but actually tasted of something.The main thing I actually enjoyed here was the BBQ sauce and maybe the chicken dippers, they were cooked well but almost flavourless.The staff were absolutely lovely.

A quick after a matinee at the cinema meal was gorgeous. The place was clean, light and airy providing a great atmosphere. I opted for the lunch time special steak meal. A beautiful and tender rare steak, home cooked chips and all the trimmings. Absolutely wonderful and great value

Absolutely fantastic food and the management and team can't do enough for you, my daughter has a peanut allergy and my wife was so nervous but they made her feel very reassured. Definitely coming back. Thank you

Definitely best place for family dinner and gathering. Friendly staffs, delicious food (the steaks and their gravy amazing), amazing drinks, great service and main part is their prices is also friendly to our pocket 😄. A must visit whenever we visit our in laws in Nottingham.
