The Little John Inn in Gedling

We had a great meal here Wednesday night, the blade of beef was absolutely delicious. There was 4 of us and our dog all of the meals were perfect even the liver meal for the dog , we would definitely dine here again if we were in the area 10/10 all of the staff super helpful and polite. Thanks for a great evening.

Very nice pub on the edge of Ravenshead. Wide range of drinks and a kitchen available as well. Very nice cosy space outside even when the rain comes! Ideal for a refreshment after a walk as plenty of hidden paths are around. Massive plus for me it’s a dog friendly place.

Really disappointing unfortunately. We ordered the lasagne which was so small. We queried whether it was the smaller lunch portion, twice. Each time we received quite vague, dismissive responses. Paid full price, £13.50 for each (inc. chips). Either we were being diddled with the smaller portion for some reason or the standard portion sizes for the lasagne are incredibly small and overpriced. Service was also extremely slow generally; no offer of desserts, had to wait ages for bill then another wait to pay.

Hazel was absolutely amazing tonight. With a party of 10 she went above and beyond for us. Treated us like family. The food was Amaaaaaaaazing portions are huge. Highly recommended. Excellent friendly service with a smile. Everything was effortless. Absolutely the best night we’ve had. Thank you and all the team. See you soon.

Great atmosphere, lovely food and the beer and Ale is always Good ! ( Unlike some of the rivals who really need to learn to clean their pumps)..... My Favourite.

Lovely pub and great food. Very dog friendly if sat in the bar eating area.Only slight gripe was the time it took for the food to arrive, but it was very busy so should have been expected, they did warn us about the wait when we ordered.Overall a very nice pub with a friendly atmosphere, we will definitely be visiting again in the future.

Extremely pleasant waitress, food very nice , Did the best they could with the temporary staff they had in . Only 1 complaint the light bite lasagne was not very warm

Went for Christmas day lunch and was very impressed with the food and service. The staff were extremely efficient at there work, nothing was too much trouble. Great atmosphere and decor. Would highly recommend.

Lovely! We went for my Grandad's birthday. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. I'd go again and I definitely recommend it. Thank you Hazel and team.

Amazing dog friendly place, the food was so good and really generous potions. Service wasFriendly and quick, they twisted my arm so I had pudding too which was so comforting and tasty. They cooked some sausages for my dog but they do have a dog menu coming in the future! Will definitely come back, Hazel the manager really looked after us along with a new waitress that couldn’t do enough to make us welcome!
