The Wine Room in Gedling

We were served quickly and the staff were very friendly. Food and cocktails were delicious.

I really wish this review could be higher than one star but having visited the wine room a few times on mapperley top, our last visit was welcomed with us waiting 10 minutes to be seated to an empty bar with only 2 people seated, the waiter saw us and asked us to wait, after 19 minutes we decided there’s more to mapperley top who offer much better service than here, the prices are higher than the average place, which we honestly do not mind paying but the service needs to massively improve. We wanted to give the wine room in the city centre a go tonight, hoping the experience would be better, however it’s the same, if not worse than mapperley, my husband was greeted at the bar by someone saying ‘yeh?,’ nothing else other than yeh? Safe to say we won’t be returning to either venue until we see some improvement of service in reviews. Such a shame when we want this place to succeed.

This place is just an asset to Mapperley Top, the cocktails fantastic and the food looked amazing I really can’t wait to go back.I would also like to add how polite, friendly and hard working the blonde lady was, she was on a trial shift on Friday night 01/07 we didn’t catch her name sorry but as it was only day one I really hope you see how good she will be. I also hope she gets paid for that trial shift!!Hope to be back again very soon!

Although the service was really good the food really let it down. It was a Sunday evening and the food felt like left overs. It has really put us off going again. Maybe it would be better to not serve food at all on a Sunday evening. The waiter was lovely and very apologetic and an asset to the bar.

A big thank you to all the team at the Wine room for the great service on Saturday 14th May. I booked the upstairs room for my friends 40th Birthday and everyone had an amazing evening , food was fantastic, venue was ideal and the staff were truly amazing , especially the two guys working on the bar .I would definitely recommend .

A fantastic wine bar. We had a gathering last night for our engagement and booked a table upstairs for 10 people. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, the food was brilliant and we were very well looked after. The wine list is fab and the balcony outside will be gorgeous in the summer. Thank you for having us!!

Quite a small place which creates a pleasant atmosphere. Has a balcony which will no doubt be popular on warm summer nights. Impressed with both the wine and food available here, and cheery staff too

Very friendly helpful bar manager.A little bit pricey but a lovely place to relax and enjoy a drink.

Amazing food and wine. Ordered a few small plates and they were delicious.Friendly staff and excellent service. Such a lovely place. Will be going back very soon.

Cant complain, lovely evening out with friends. Staff were great, we only had drinks but I must say the food looked fantastic on other tables.
