AVATAR DINING in Harborough

You would have to go a very long way to find another Indian restaurant as good as Avatar. We’ve been coming here for years, and it’s actually getting even better. The recent refurbishments look great; modern and inviting. The staff are fantastic, and you can tell that the manager really cares about the restaurant and works very hard to make sure you’re enjoying yourself. The unique “Chef’s specialty” dishes are delicious and well worth trying. Can’t recommend highly enough!

Really nice dinner at Avatar. The first impression coming into the restaurant was very positive. The staff was nice and professional and the food was excellent. I had the chicken karai and it was delicious. I will come here again.

Excellent food and lovely restaurant but I would avoid Saturday evenings. Staff were doing great but unfortunately it was a bit of a challenge to get food served and the bill delivered at the end of the evening. I think they take too much on in the kitchens as there is a constant stream of takeaway pick ups no doubt adding to their workload.Don’t let that put you off though, the food really is good, just lower your expectations a little if you visit on a busy Saturday night.

Really disappointed with the service. Ordered online and for whatever reason delivery was not available - even though I’m 5 minutes from them! So ordered for collection at 7:28pm and the website said 1 hours. Tracked the order the whole time and watched the time go down to 4 minutes and my husband left to collect. He’s been there 40 minutes so far and thinks it may be another 30. Other people in the queue have been waiting for an hour to collect and said that this is usual. I don’t care how good the food is but this is unacceptable. I’m spending my birthday on my own at home getting tired and bored. And not even hungry anymore. My husband had a cake to bake for me for tomorrow and now all our plans have been ruined by this lack of care for the customer’s time. Unfortunately I won’t be ordering again.

Very welcoming restaurant. Food was beautiful. Staff were very polite and friendly. Great service. Wish it was my local!

Always great, this is our go to take away. Fresh food and good service, staff on phone always friendly as is the delivery driver, couldn’t recommend enough. They get it right every time.

Met 2 friends here recently for a catch up . Great food . Very friendly staff . Would defo go again . Including soft drinks ( was driving ) we paid £26 each for popadoms n dips. Meal each plus naan each . That included few quid tip . Would recommend

I have been visiting this restaurant regularly for a number of years with a group of friends. Every time I have visited both my meal and those of my friends has been amazing. The service is always friendly, and the restaurant has a very pleasant atmosphere. I will certainly be coming back whenever possible in the future and would recommend Avatar without hesitation.

Decided to ring the changes and have our Christmas meal at Avatar yesterday with our daughter and her partner. What a great decision; a lovely meal at a top restaurant. Thanks to Suresh and the team for everything.
