Very quaint but our table was on a sloping floor and our glasses kept sliding down albeit slowly!.Staff did not seem to want to be there and were just about doing their job of taking orders, going through the motions though. They did not really listen either and my fish was awful for the price and mushy peas were too salty. Disappointed!

Excellent place for food with great staff and good choice of local beverages like Billy's Ale. I would certainly return and would recommend to others.

Good breakfast, but the price has gone up and portion size down and it is extra for toast and beans. You are competing with the likes of Pennbury farm and they are better value now. Come back the days of unlimited filter coffee and decent breaky for £10 to attract your regulars back.

Food is always great here. Friendly staff and good portion size.

Surprisingly empty this time of year in the dinning room. Bar was busier. No covid rules. Staff wore masks, some people did as well when walking about. Mains were very tasty and fresh, but deserts tasted like they were a few days old.

Wonderful meal tonight here but disappointed by the tiny portion of the dessert. £6 for a slither of Yule log about 1cm thick, advertised with Bailey's cream but no trace of Bailey's. Recommend the steak but will give the desserts a miss in future!

Great pub, would recommend popping in for a drink after a nice country walk.We visited with friends this time. The food service was a little slow, but the barman said there was a large table being served and taking up the kitchens time. We waited nearly an hour for a burger and fish and chips while our friends veggie burgers came out withing 25 minutes. I'll put this down to it being a Saturday, and a badly timed order due to it being a little busier than the last time we were there.

Awsome pudding, friendly hosts and plentiful seating. Dog being allowed is amazing. In the summer the outdoors is great. Good food and atmosphere for kids files and all.

Best pub Sunday dinner I've had for a long time. Average price and absolutely delicious. Pork and lamb well cooked and perfectly cooked vegetables for my taste with nice thick gravy.Friendly, family atmosphere with large bar area and restraunt seating. Good selection of beers.Just outside of the bustle of the city, this will now be a favourite of ours.
