Been here a few times, lovely food. Last night, however, a waitress decided to have a wobbly, she threw a big jar of water in the air saturating the tables, floor and myself at the same time screaming her head off swearing and then went on to smashing the jar shattering glass absolutely everywhere. One lady was crying, another, pregnant woman sat there in shock, she left with her husband. Only one waitress was actually concerned asking if anyone was hurt and going around cleaning up. My wife helped out to console others in the aftermath, yet the manager said absolutely nothing!! Not an apology or anything. Nothing!! On top of that we gave them a £30 voucher yet they still took the full amount off our card. I said that there was no way they could've missed that voucher because I put it on the top of our bank card and the bill but when it was brought back over to our table the voucher wasn't with it all. I said that will take 5 days to get the £30 back into our bank so I suggest you give us £30 cash which they did. In hindsight I wish we had left when the food had arrived. Total nightmare and a night ruined. The manager needs to give an apology big time. They won't be seeing us there again.

Thoroughly enjoyed a lovely meal. Goats cheese tart was superb, beautifully cooked and presented. Lobster was delicious and portions were perfect. Service was good and wines high quality and reasonably priced. A great evening and thoroughly recommended for a relaxed dining experience.

Very friendly staff and good food. Small but cosy surroundings, so remember to book. I suggest saying not right behind the door or just at the top of the stairs, which are steep for those who struggle. Good atmosphere, sensible pricing, food nice and hot so we will return.

We went as a party of 4. Good atmosphere and great service. I had the ham terrine to start, which was lovely, as was the lemon posset for dessert. For the main I had the rib eye steak (at an £8 supplement). The chips were excellent, but the quality of the steak itself was very out of place. Very thin and lacking any real flavour, it was a great disappointment. Especially considering my partner's lamb shank was significantly nicer and included in the base price.Recommended on the whole, but I definitely wouldn't recommend the risk of going anywhere near a steak.

Where do I begin, the service was immaculate, the waiters and waitresses were so diligent. The food was great as well, the best bread I have ever had. Highly recommend to anyone in Market Harborough, we will be coming back!

This place isn’t as good as it used to be. The food was good as always, but the service really has gone down hill. The waitress didn’t know the difference between the steaks on the menu or any of the ingredients. She forgot to bring drinks, cutlery and when she brought the bill she didn’t return for us to actually pay it so we had to ask again. We ordered a certain cocktail only for us to be told 20 minutes after ordering, that they don’t do this drink. Why did this take so long? We ended up drinkless for the first 30 minutes of our visit!!The heating was on too high, there was an accident in the kitchen where smoke was billowing into the restaurant and whilst paying the bill, the Manager blamed us for the smoke because of the steaks we had ordered! (I think it was a joke but it wasn’t funny)In summary, the food is still very good but I think the entire front of house team either needs replacing or training. They just don’t know what they’re doing.

Overpriced and overcooked. Bread was burnt, 2 sets of scallops were burnt, steak was medium-well instead of medium rare, and a lobster tail (£20 extra whilst a whole lobster is only £12 extra 🤔) was dry and overcooked. This place has gone downhill. Avoid.

Wow. Long time seafood lover, first time here.....it won't be the lastThe food is outstanding. Been a long time since I've had a three course meal where the quality across courses is so consistent. Cooked to perfection, great service, lovely place.Like Arnie, I'll be back!

The food, location and especially service was excquisite. Because it's a small venue it also feels very personal. Although the focus is fish based there are great alternatives too, all at good value for money.
