Scraptoft Golf Club in Harborough

My friend had her wedding reception here. Everything seemed organised, staff was friendly, toilets were clean. Signposted well so you don't miss the turning into the car park. Overall good experience and my friend said she and her husband had a good time.

No hole numbers, artificial tee boxes on most holes, soggy clay, water bubbler switched off, greens terrible …. This is the experience in March. I guess and would hope a different story in the summer. A bit short

Great Course, with a challengeing and good mixture of holes.Decent food at the restaurant - does a very good Sunday carvery.Clubhouse is large, clean and available for hire for special events.Beer is kept well at the bar.Professional Simon Wood has one of the best stocked Pro shops in the county and offers great service.

Great society day out, well organised/communication between myself and Simon. Excellent course, fairways & greens in very condition, good variety of holes.Well looked after from bar and catering staff, polite and friendly. Definitely return.Michael (electra golf society)

Superb. Very careful about covid. I felt very safe.Meal was three courses and I wanted cheese and biscuits for my sweet, which wasn't on the menu, but provided. Choice of three meats in the main meal. I had some of each!The sweets change - because I have been again.Meal was most reasonable and so were drinks.I recommend this restaurant.

I went to enquire about lessons, Simon Wood, the club pro was very positive. I noticed that the course looks stunning and immaculate.

My first time playing here, and I was surprised at how good the course was. There are some very tight drives, so choice of club off the tee is important - it certainly isn't driver on every hole.The course was in excellent condition with lush fairways and very consistent greens, which ran well.I will certainly be returning.

Very good in house food. To produce a four coarse meal of that quality for 70 people is an art. Our club has had its annual dinner here for many years and quite frankly it just gets better.

I take it all back it’s a lovely place, since my last review the staffs attitude seems to have changed dramatically honestly a lovely place and I think it’s good how there employing a lot of youths from the area as it makes a lot of other youngsters feel welcome and will hopefully get them in to the wonderful sport of golf. the pool table is also good

I played this course on 16/10/16 following a night and morning of very heavy rain. The course dealt with the water extremely well and was presented beautifully with swift (faster in October than my home club was in August!), consistent greens and nicely manicured fairways. Members told me that it was even better a few weeks ago as the greens staff have just recently begun their winter preparation in the last couple of weeks (ie hollow coring and allowing the greens to grow a little longer in readiness for the first frost).The course is located in a very rural area bordering rolling fields and the members were very welcoming. Also the course is a nice comfortable length (5954 yards of yellows, 6257 off whites) and positioning off the tee is more valuable than distance on most holes.I think I've played enough courses in the last 30 years to know when green staff take pride in their work and when it's "just a job" for them, and I can confidently say that the former is the case here.I must admit that I really enjoyed this course, and if I lived nearby then I would join immediately. My favourite course type is parkland and Scraptoft is my second favourite one ever (Bearwood Lakes will never be topped!). In conclusion, just go and play it if you get the chance, I promise you will enjoy it.
