Just returned from 2nd visit to caravan site and now planning 3rd. Lush, green and peaceful in the middle of nowhere. Trees galore with birdsong to match and wonderfully dark at night for star-gazing. Yes, T.V. reception is not great so enjoy the surroundings instead. Clean loo but no shower, but not a problem for most vans. Food on-site great, Sunday lunch is a winner. Owners are lovely and very helpful, can't wait to go back

·

Lovely peaceful spot in quiet surroundings to enjoy home cooked food

·

Beautiful and unusual caravan site with basic facilities.. good food/meals available Wednesday to Sunday in a small tea shop. Friendly and helpful owners

·

Awful road to access the site, and poorly maintained signage with overgrown trees obscuring it.To be honest the signage around the site is non existent, even finding the EHU and water supply took some finding on our pitch due to them being buried in the trees. Although the trees are spectacular they need cutting back in certain areas to make access around site accessible. On a positive note, you would not find friendly people, the site owners are very nice people and very helpful. There are nice walks around the area and the local towns are lovely.

A nice old fashioned out of the way tea room. Matthew and his family are always welcoming no matter the weather.I take mountain bike rides out here. Tea and cake and sometimes a bacon sandwich.Always welcome 🙂

One of my favourite ever places...Food beautifully cooked, whether it's a full breakfast or a Sunday roast...Or perhaps just tea/ coffee and filled roll... Lovely people who run the establishment, I cannot praise enough.. The setting is just perfect... My little oasis...

Love this place for weekend caravanning. Beautiful surroundings and lots of lovely walks. Tea room is very popular especially for Sunday lunching

Nice quite lake in the heart of Leicestershire, good head of big roach, bream and carp.Nice size lake with plenty of pegs, the only down side to the lake is that the swims are overgrown alot and the island is no more due to being overgrown with reeds, good depth at one end, shallow and weedy at the far end of the lake which is good fun for carp in the summer.Great facilities on site with plenty of bins situated around the lake also has a great litter tea shop less than a minute walk from the lake. Definitely recommend lake for silver fish but a little harder to fish for carp on a quick day session. £6 for 1 rod.Great little day ticket water.
