Nice to see busy pub with friendly locals. Bar staff seemed a little in experienced but great atmosphere.

We visited the Golden Shield wile on a canal holiday on the nearby Grand Union Canal. This is a nice pub with friendly staff. We were able to order a takeaway meal to be delivered (covid reasons) which was hit and tasty. Inside was clean and well decorated and most importantly a nice pint!

I am so happy that I decided to go to the Shield for a Sunday dinner. It was my husbands 60th birthday and I had surprised him with family coming to visit and a meal out. First of all, I cannot thank Stacey enough for how helpful and accommodating she was when I asked about eating there.....nothing was too much trouble for her which I am really appreciative of. As for the food....absolutely AMAZING! Hot, loads of it and tasted fantastic. The desserts.... OMG! Beautifully presented and so moreish! We will definitely be back and I couldn’t be happier with everything. THANK YOU.

Great village pub. Very good service & lovely atmosphere very friendly. Well worth a visit.
