Had the pleasure of staying here recently, lovely hotel, comfy room and the lady behind reception was attentive, polite and perfectly pleasant. Would definitely recommend.

We booked out the Restaurant for a Christening celebration for our daughter. The staff were so helpful in the planning right through to the end of the function. They were also polite and attentive on the day. We were allowed to setup the room as we wanted, they put on an amazing buffet spread. Good choice of drinks from the bar and we'll definitely return in future for another function.

Beautiful hundreds years old inn, with an amazing inner garden, good food, very friendly staff. I give them 4 stars because the rooms could get a bit more love, all those hanging wires feom the electric lights destroy the architectural beauty of the old inn, also, at the first floor they dumped some old kitchen equipment that looks out of the place. However the experience was very lovely, very clean, you get fresh water every day, the breakfast have good variety. If you book this place I recommend you to choose a room with a window towards the inner path/garden,definitely eill make your day and you can avoid the street noise.

Stayed here for multiple weeks whilst working away and it's probably the best place I've stayed. Rooms are well kept, beds are very comfy and the staff are always very friendly. Highly recommend.

I've stayed at the Greyhound numerous times and have enjoyed my stay each time, there is a lovely variety of rooms which all have bags of character.Rhe staff are very friendly and helpful, I would certainly recommend this hotel to friends and family.

The four poster bedroom was in very poor condition, broken lighting, scuffs high up on the wall, shower looks the part but has no pressure rendering as pointless, central heating inoperable, furniture tired and in disrepair and unusable. The bed sheets were scruffy and unironed giving a lived in feeling. The management have no idea of procedures comprising the security of my banking details.I'm shocked at the lack of professionalism from senior staff.Obviously this establishment are playing at being a hotel.Never again will I stay or reccomend this place even in an emergency to others in a good light.I await a promised refund, which will never materialise a truly dishonest management

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel cycling from Sheffield back to the Chilterns. Great food, excellent local ale and fabulous service.

First time visit to this hotel for a one night stay for a New year's eve due at the Wycliffe Rooms. It's very oldly worldly with loads of character. Our Room 23 was up some steep exterior steps. The bed was comfy & the shower was okay being over a bath. The council run car park is on its doorstep & you can use a App to pay. Breakfast was included but we missed it having got into the room in the early hours of the morning. We will return for this year's new year's eve due if it take place.

Had a really great stay. Staff were so welcoming and helpful, especially as we were a fairly large group. Emma on reception was particularly helpful. We were out for a wedding all day so the team cleaned our rooms quickly allowing us to check-in at 11:30am (checkout is 11am) and get changed. They gave us the keys for the other rooms (which weren’t ready so early) at this time so we didn’t have to come back from the wedding to check-in as we were out till late. The rooms themselves were very nice, comfy beds, good showers and well cleaned. The following morning breakfast was really good with good portion sizes, veggie options available. Checkout was quick and easy and again everyone was very pleasant and happy to help. Would very happily recommend the Greyhound, and would love to stay again if we were ever back in the area.
