The Man at Arms in Harborough

Extremely hit and miss. The venue itself is great, and in a nice location. Clean and well kept establishment, with a good selection of well kept beers, as well as countless other drinks to offer. But where it let's itself down is on its main draw the steaks. You can go one day and it's a delight knife cuts through like butter, well rested before being served. Then on another day, and I have to say the past 2 times I've been, the steak is tough and chewy, very fatty and served in a blood bath as it hasn't been rested at all. I'm not able to comment on other food served here as I haven't ordered it, but it looks great, and healthy portion sizes. They just need to bring consistency to the quality, treatment and cooking of the steaks.

A group of 16 came to celebrate a 21st birthday,as we have always had a great meal in the past. Well:1/ tables were not clean2/ the salmon and mixed grill was very poor quality, the potatoes were green,the meat was too tough and told the waitress,but she wasn't interested and made no attempt to try and offer an alternative or part refund!!3/ we didn't have desserts as the main courses were so bad.4/ we ask for condiments to go with the meal and this took so long the food was going cold.

Great place food was amazing and the staff were all friendly and the prices were very reasonable will definitely return

I took 3 others with me and we had the steak special. 2 for £19.99 with wine. A lovely meal all round. Ordered the cheesy garlic bread and onion rings also. Staff are great and helpful. My only criticism was the tables are too small and too close together. 4 adults sitting at a table about 3 feet long and 2 feet wide. Wasn't easy getting up and down. Other than that it was a fun night

Great just stopped in for a quick lunch all was good food service drinks will be back for more .

Not been here for a while because of restrictions, but the food was excellent as always. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Fast service and reasonable prices. We will definitely be back.

Unbelievable value for money. I can't recommend the 2 steaks and a bottle of wine for just under £20 enough! The steak was really lean, thick, and cooked to perfection. Meals are served quickly, which suits us! Love this place will go back again and again!

Lovely pub, great food. The staff were friendly and couldn't do enough to help.It was clean with a lovely atmosphere. Not too noisy and not flat either.We had fajitas. It came with 3 wraps and I thought stingy. Eyes bigger than my belly, I could only eat 2 lol The food was fresh, tasty and served hot.

Great local pub, good selection of food and if you love a big steak this is the place to come.
