One of the best meals I've had locally in years. Big portions, great quality. Tasty place, good service and great location.

Amazing food, went for a big family Sunday lunch. I had a prawn cocktail starter which was lovely and the carvery was very nice, it was refreshing to have lovely fresh vegetables that were hot and the beef and Yorkshire pudding were very nice. The only thing that let it down slightly was that after our plates were taken away after the main meal we were completely forgotten about and no one asked if we wanted desserts or teas/coffees. We gave up in the end as it was very busy and just paid the bill.

We used to frequent the Shire's Inn weekly, Saturday evenings when we were working and it was always enjoyable. We made a visit for lunch today and cannot express highly what a most enjoyable experience it was. The lovely young waitress called Abbey was a delight. She was so helpful and a real asset to this business. Our food was excellent it was one of the nicest meals we have had in a long time, we cannot wait to return again. Five Star Plus highly recommended.

We just went in for a drink and maybe ate something. The Christmas menu was on the table but we asked the nice staff shell we order something from a normal menu. Ended up with a cheese burger! Oh my gosh was fantastic! Thanks for that! Staff are so helpful and the place has its own atmosphere.

Had the most amazing curry on a Friday night. The menu was drawing me to one of their lovely looking Steaks the I saw A Chicken Jalfrazi . Great choice. Came with all the trimmings and beats any local curry houses hands down for taste , quantity and value .

Lovely country pub with really tasty food and lots to choose from on the varied menu, huge portions and service was brilliant. Can't fault it at all, we had a really lovely evening and will be definitely be back!

Had a fantastic meal here last night. The service is great, friendly, the restaurant is bright and inviting. The food was amazing, we ordered the deep fried brie and malt crunch loaf with olives & balsamic olive oil dip. For the main course monkfish with prawns and scallops in a Vermouth cream sauce and sea bass with prawns chorizo and mushrooms. They were accompanied by potatoes and vegetables. The berry Pavlova for dessert was amazing. Five star experience but do book a table as you would expect it's always busy.

Stunning food as usual. The carvery options all looked incredible and me wonder if I should continue being vegetarian! There were also a few ery good veggie options and I did not regret my choice. If you're looking for a family friendly pub that not only does awesome food, but doesn't know what a small portion is then this is where you need to be!

What a great village pub, spacious and welcoming atmosphere with happy staff.I gaurentee you will not leave here hungry. The portion sizes are made for a empty stomach. Every dish was tasty, cooked perfectly and we'll presented, prices are very reasonable and personally some of the dishes you could charge more for as they are very good quality. This is the 2nd time I have visited and staff have always been super and attentive to your requests.Definitely a pub to visit 😊
