This little café in Cotesbach must be one of the best kept secrets on the small island (Great Britain). Just a stone throw from the M1 it lies nestled within a few other businesses in a lovely yard which probably once belonged to a farm. There's outside and inside seating, the latter lovingly decorated, the first offering a nice atmosphere.Every day there are homemade specials, cakes, sandwiches, vegetarian, vegan - from their own gardens and regional producers. Our sandwiches were to die for and the cake afterwards completely unnecessary but unavoidable and so yummy. Will be back on our way home. Thanks for the hospitality!

Absolutely 💯 % lovely Yard Cafe. Been here a few times now and every time it's been perfect. The staff are very friendly and helpful . Food and drink hot or cold is deliciously superb.Hygiene is spotless.Well worth a visit.

My wife and I enjoyed a delicious lunch. She had the quiche and I had the frittata, both were outstanding. Unfortunately I left my sweater behind only realising when we reached home in Surrey. One phone call and all was solved. Thank you The Yard Cafe for the excellent service and wonderful food.

A complete step back into peace tranquillity of a farm type yard with unusual shops around a small courtyard.Amazing tasty food, beautifully presented and reasonable prices.A wonderful hot choc with marshmallows and a dash of glitter choc sprinkles....a bit like fairy dust and super tasty. All food is either locally sourced or comes from the organic educational gardens on site. There are organic vegetable basket/ hampers advertised, depending upon the gardening season.A place of cottage garden crafts in wooded and farm environment reminding you of bygone times with a hint of cold comfort farm....but definately not cold with a log burner to cosy upto on colder days.A unique place oozing with charm and a gem of a find.Staff are super friendly and helpful. A must to visit and a definite to return to.Ample parking in the nearby car park.

The food is low quality and took ages to arrive. 30 minutes for sandwiches is crazy. Service was lovely hence the 2 rather than 1 especially as it's relatively pricey for sub standard food

Lovely location in an old yard, food is freshly prepared and the service was good. I had breakfast but will have to return to try the cake.

Simple menu but oh my, it is simple done extremely well. Very fresh ingredients, homemade quiches to buy. I had a sausage ciabatta roll which was delicious. Coffees are amazing and cakes are all homemade!Soooooo much better than anything you would get at a service station. :)

What an absolutely wonderful little hidden gem! The staff we're so accommodating, chatty and friendly. The food, which majority of its ingredients are organic and sourced from local producers or their own garden, is absolutely delicious! Also their flat white is spot on! Can't wait to go back when I'm passing by on the M1!

This is such a lovely cafe in a gorgeous little spot without any heirs & graces but bags of charm. The food is always really good & made with local produce the ladies that serve you friendly & chatty.I rarely eat meat but they always yummy vegetarian options. The quiches are my absolute favourite but everything I've tried has been good & today we ate off their brunch menu which came with delicious home made baked beans! I'd recommend having pudding too as their cakes are particularly nice! All in all this is one of favourite places to visit locally, we often walk here with our little dog, who's also welcomed with a drink!
