Cafe @ The Green Pavilion in High Peak

One of the best cafes in Buxton. The staff are lovely, the cafe is clean and comfortable. The food was also very nice, and prepared with care. Good size portions.The only reason it’s not 5 star is that it was a little pricey. I had a coffee and it was tiny, a bit more hot water would not have added to the overheads!But a good cafe to visit.

1) Super dog friendly! Stood outside and asked a member of staff waiting on outdoor tables if dogs were permitted inside. Got a prompt yes and was shown to a table straight away. Two separate team members made a fuss of my big fluffy fella and he was treated to some dog treats in the process.2) Our drink was served first with food to follow - only a short wait inspite of it being a busy lunch hour.3) Vegan food was spot on - chose the toasted mushroom and vegan cheese sandwich which was served with a medley of unexpected sides/salads. A generous helping and a variety of flavours.4) Cost was reasonable for the amenities, service and food offered - the cafe was bright, inviting and clean. Staff polite and friendly and plenty of choice of food for all tastes.5) Thank you guys for making us very welcome, this was our first visit to Buxton. :)

Lovely cafe with friendly welcoming staff, good coffee, a variety of seating and substantial portions of delicious cake.

This is the best café in Buxton AND it's independent. Please support them. They work so hard to get things right and take pride in everything they do. Today's late breakfast visit, coffee smoked salmon and cream cheese on sourdough toast. Delish! 😋

Lovely place, great food and friendly staff. Dog friendly too 🐶

We used Jo and Simon for external catering for our family get together. We were snowed in a holiday barn with no food but Jo made every effort (took her 3 hours for what is essentially a 15 minute drive) to deliver it for us. Was already impressed with the service but once we cooked the pies, WOW! Most amazing buffet ever! Everything tasted amazing! Will definitely be using them for every party/get together -thank you!! X

Savoury menu was absolutely lovely, a bit pricey but great for the amount of food you get. Lovely staff, however was really disappointed when I got home and opened my takeaway cake to see that the bottom of the key meringue pie was raw. Really put a dampen on my experience.

Has to be one of the nicest cafes I have been to in a long time a lovely menu not to big and not to small.Was lovely to sit on the sofa with the wife it felt so homely.I witnessed great customer service to other members of the public in the cafe.The food was lovely and we both left really happyWas really impressed with the extras in the W/C

Fantastic service and delicious food.Their selection of little salad dishes served as a side to my sandwich were absolutely devine as was my vegan field mushroom and vegan cheese in sourdough sandwich.Had a really pleasant lunch would definitely recommend and will be going back again hopefully soon.

Great place! Friendly, professional staff. We recommend the Deli Salad (de-lish) and the Lemon Meringue Pie is to die for. We had our Pie to take out and enjoyed later with a view! Thank you for such great service... we'll be back soon!
