It has been a while since I've had an opportunity to dine in a good Italian restaurant. Many of them closing in my area, so we ventured a few miles further, and we're glad we did just that.Casa D'Italia was a pleasant suprise as we never came across this restaurant before, despite surely driving past it on many occasions.Table was booked about a week in advance for a Friday 7pm, and that was very much needed as by 8pm place was full.We were greeted by a very friendly staff across the board, each and every one of them being polite and professional throughout the evening, but not making it too awkward, still having a warm response to any need you might have.Food was delicious, we've had two courses each, starter and main, not trying sweet this time round. Starters were more bread and fungi orientated, mains were pasta with seafood. All of the courses were well presented and decent size portion, just the right amount.Wine is not your typical Merlot or Shiraz style, it's a different sort, but it compliments their menu well.Prices are respectable and as expected, nothing too expensive.Ambiance is warm, music is subtle yet complimentary to how the evening goes on a busy weekend. I was expecting a bit more of and Italian music to add to dining experience, but I wasn't disappointed with what was playing in the background. No faults on our first visit, happy to return onas many occasions as possible.

Best place I have eaten in a long time. The Linguini de Mare was one of the best I have ever had, the place was lively but not to the point where it wasn't enjoyable, the lady that served us was absolutely fantastic and the price was great. Will definitely be coming back.

Saw this restaurant when on the way home from a day out in Derbyshire, and decided to try it. Good welcome, offered choice of tables, although we hadn't booked. Service, from the man running the "front of house" was speedy, unobtrusive, and not pressured in any way. Food was excellent: cheesy garlic bread and Funghi Dolcelatte were phenomenal, and challenged our abilities to complete the main courses (in the end, a box was quickly supplied to take left-over garlic bread home.) Then tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms, and linguine di mare were both excellent: the porcini were full of flavour, and the linguine di mare was full of a variety of fish, with a chilli bite. Deserts (Creme brulee, tiramisu) were good as well, and the bill was very reasonable for the food and drink that we had enjoyed. If / when we are in the area, we will certainly go back. Any negative points: the car park is a little small - you might have to park on the street! Is that the worst thing that can happen?

Absolutely beautiful food, great lively atmosphere and the lady who served us tonight was fab, super friendly and personable. It was my birthday & they even gave me a little slice of cake at the end. Made my day. We'll definitely be returning without a doubt.

Very enjoyable meal on a very busy Saturday evening, spotted the restaraunt in passing. Best cheese garlic bread I have had in a long time. Fabulous waiting staff. Thought my risotto could have had a bit more stock, and butter for the shine to be honest..if it had, and if they had chinotto in the fridge...they would have had a 5 from me. Reasonably priced. Great spot..like Arnie I'll be back

Absolutely terrible!Started off ordering the 'house rosé' from the menu for £15.95 a bottle. What arrived was summer fusion echo falls, the cheapest wine you can buy for £3.75 at any shop, plus it isn't even actual rosé!Took 20 minutes from being seated to actually having our food order taken.1 hour and 20 minutes had then passed from placing our order and we still had no food. Yet the 3 tables who all arrived well after us had had their starters. We flagged the waiter down who spoke to the kitchen and our food hadn't even been started yet! Another 15 minutes go by and we eventually get our garlic bread starter. I ate a slice and was chewing something awful. I spat it out and it was a large sharp piece of plastic in our food! When we flagged the waiter down again he tried telling me it was a piece of salt before then agreeing it was plastic and said he would take the garlic bread off the bill.Another 15-20 minutes go by and we finally get our mains. My fella ordered the 'sea bream' from the specials board for £21.95. Bit pricey but oh well...little did we know it was an actual whole fish on a plate with nothing else. No veg or chips or mash...absolutely nothing with it!!! That is not a meal and definitely not worth £21.95!We were less than impressed and had been there for 2 and a half hours by this point just for starter and main so as soon as we finished eating we asked for the bill. The nightmare doesn't even stop there as when they brought the bill there were items on it that we hadn't even had!Absolutely will never go back and will tell others not to bother going. Terrible from start to finish.

What a gorgeous little restaurant! The food was delicious, I had a really good quality thick steak and my partner’s lamb shank was also spot on. Seriously impressed and the service was fantastic, Samed looked after us and was absolutely brilliant as was his colleague. Really great service and really great food, such a great place. We travelled from Yorkshire to come here and will definitely be coming again. Thanks for a fantastic night.

We recently visited Casa D'Italia for a large family get together to celebrate the birthdays we hadn't been able to during lockdown. The staff couldn't have been more attentive, friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The food was amazing, everything was hot, fresh and delicious and we were all served in a timely manner, even though the restaurant was busy. I completely recommended this authentic Italian experience. You won't be disappointed.
