Lovely food and staff. We visited with the family and dog and were fitted in twice as walk ins on our way back to our cottage. I would really recommend this pub, nice children's play area, fab food and a great service. (Would recommend to book if possible as at busy times they can't always accommodate the dog)

I have not been to this restaurant for some time so I wasn't sure what to expect. This place is a lot better than it used to be. I had an excellent meal. My friend liked her meal but found it a rather large portion. When the staff realized this they told her that she could have a smaller portion next time, she only had to ask. All round excellent.

Food was delicious. Outdoor play area is great. Staff so welcoming and lovely. The fact that they are totally dog friendly down to blankets, bowls and treats is a big plus too! Will definitely be back.

Wow! Well! Actually I can't find the words to describe it! Food was amazing!Young Dan on the bar, absolutely amazing! Young Emily waiting on! Absolutely fantastic! Aly the manager so friendly! Can't wait to eat there again!

Came with my friend and 3 kids. The staff here was lovely! Made us feel very welcome . Food on the other hand was absolutely gorgeous! We have already been a couple of times now. And we will definitely be coming back. :)

After reading a negative review on this pub I have to speak out and say, I was in this pub today with my partner and 2 children. I had a very lovely experience and food was just perfect. Manager was very friendly! The duty manager was a lovely woman called aly who gave me and my partner a raise the bar card in which we followed up on. This is not a place you want to avoid, quick service, excellent food, family and dog friendly!

Six of us went for Sunday lunch after hearing good reviews. It did not disappoint. The food was amazing and brought out on preheated plates. The staff were brilliant and very welcoming. Our severs were Emily and Dan who were both lovely. Will definitely be returning. 5 🌟

We were a party of 12 and The management and staff provided a great dining experience for my mums 80th birthday meal, they were friendly, attentive and nothing was too much trouble and we would like to say a massive thank you to them for making the day a special one. We also had 4 small children in our party and again they went over and above to ensure that the children were made to feel welcome.

After reading the recent good reviews for the Fickle Mermaid, I booked a table for 10 people. When we arrived the staff were friendly and welcoming, directing us to our table which was ready and prepared. Our group comprised several children of varying ages and the staff went out of their way to make everyone feel comfortable. Some of the staff were fairly new and this was explained to us and we were asked to provide constructive feedback to promote any improvement if required. All the staff performed very well with such a large group. The manager spoke to us afterwards and was very clear about his plans for the pub, and the changes he was making to ensure that customers receive a high standard of food and service. We will certainly return
