Hare and Hounds in High Peak

When for Monday night tea, super friendly staff, the food was just what we needed, steak pie & chips,(the chips were heaven) 🤤 Gluten free fish (in lovely fresh batter) & chips, very tasty & no problems with regards gluten free, even checked to see if had intolerance or coeliac disease.Very happy with the food & drinks, super village pub, definitely be returning 😊

Fantastic food, friendly staff and very reasonably priced. Good sized car park and outdoor seating area available. The steak was lovely and their salt and pepper chips and regular chips are immense.

Came in today and had a Cajun chicken burger. Was delicious. The 3 for 15 starters are a good idea. Salt and pepper wings were huge and meaty. Definitely be back 😊

Very pleasant traditional pub, serving a good range of beers/drinks and food.Dropped in at lunch time for a pint and had a very well prepared sandwich with all the trimmings served with the best chips I've had in a while. Excellent.

Went for a dinner after it's been recommended to us by a friend. Had a sunday roast which was awful. The beef tasted horrible that I can't describe. Everything else was fine. Such a shame as it is a very nice pub with a very nice atmosphere.

Visited today with family. Waited a little longer than expected for food (over 30 mins and it wasn’t busy, hence minus 1 star) but I must say the lady behind the bar was fab at her job. Clearing tables, serving drinks, bringing out food. You could not fault the service. She’s a credit to the Hare and Hounds :)

Came here for a Sunday lunch after a good day hiking, everything was cooked to perfection. Veg had a bit of crunch still without being raw, the meat was soft and melt in your mouth with beautiful home made Yorkshire puds.If your in the area I would definitely recommend a visit.

This was our first time here the service was excellent we were made to feel really at home. As for the food it was outstanding best meal ever. The team here deserve every success. We will definitely be back soon

Visited at a quiet mid week lunchtime. The real ale was excellent, the cheese pie & scampi were very good & proper chips (not oven chips). Shall certainly return.

Brilliant food! Not a local in the area.so just relied on the google to find where to eat! And no regrets here. Best chips i have ever eaten. Staff was friendly, good service and amazing food what else can you ask for!! Oh actually toilets a bit dated needs refurbishment. But Clean.
