First time in 3 year was my first night out and I ended up in the Howard security was brilliant... friendly but scary for all the right reasons... and bar service was fantasticly quick... if that's even a word... honestly within 3 years the Howard really is a great pub to go to whether you are looking for a big night out or even a quiet drink, depending which side you drink on.No hassle just great vibes

A canny pub, juke box with good music played at a nice unobtrusive level, TV, good lager, good atmosphere. Had 2 visits over 2 days. I will be back

Covid guidelines are well adhered to here and felt very safe. The were a couple of situations during the night but Kerry dealt with them amazingly. She was so friendly and couldn't do enough for everyone. She didn't stop running around all night making sure everyone was happy and safe. An absolute star.

Visited on Sunday on way back from walk. Had couple of g & ts and Dave my husband had guiness. We sat outside in the sun before it started to rain. Nice change.

Just a great. Old traditional pub no food . No blaring out music. Good Mixture of old locals and youngsters . Great beer prices .pool / karioki w/end . Seating outside . Young owners who know how to just let a pub run freely .. 10/10

Doormen are bullies. After stepping outside to smoke on my own the doormen refused to let me back in with no explanation. My bag and coat were left inside and when I asked if I could retrieve them so I could get home they constantly refused and moved me away from the door. I was left outside in the freezing cold with no coat no phone and no money. Absolutely disgusting. Have been going there for years and have never been treated like that. Will not be returning.
