Khomkhai Thai Cuisine in High Peak

Maybe the best Thai restaurant I've been to outside of being in Thailand. My kids aged 9&11 have been talking about it ever since, they loved Thier ribs and rice. I had a spicy red curry that was delicious.

Amazing Food, atmosphere and service. My other half is not into Thai food, at all and he loved it. Peak Venues belated Christmas Party and they definitely booked the right place. Well Done Khomkhai.

Unfortunately a strange and not too pleasant eating experience.We picked up a range of dishes as a takeaway, and the staff in both the restaurant and the takeaway shop were lovely.The food however was odd, and not very good.The good points; the sticky rice and coconut rice were good, the tofu was pretty nice.The issues; the ‘dry’ red Thai curry was a tupperware full of a thin watery liquid - much thinner than coconut milk, the marinated mixed vegetable skewers were uncooked vegetables with no chargrilling and almost no visible marinade, the stir fried vegetable dish was also very watery - with almost raw vegetables.For almost £40 this was really disappointing, so although the restaurant may be good, for takeaway I’d advise you don’t risk it.

We tried the restaurant on Saturday evening after reading good reviews - it did not disappoint. The food was delicious, the staff were lovely and the restaurant itself was attractively set out and decorate.

An excellent place to eat. The food comes quickly and it is delicious, the staff are friendly and efficient and the premises are clean. Because it is so good, it is advisable to book. It is always busy.

The best Thai I have had. We all enjoyed our meal, will certainly be back...

This is a review for the khomkhai Thai restaurant on Market Street Buxton not the take away.They served us a chicken massaman £9.25 as requested but tried to charge us for a Lamb 13.95 and when we queried it said we had eaten it so couldn't challange it! Who would know this was going to happen until the bill came? The proprietor would not come and discuss it with us saying they were too busy and allowed their staff to take the flack. Eventually they changed the bill for us but would not return here after this experience.

First time and the food was fantastic as well as the staff. Will definitely go again. Our 7 year old wants to go tomorrow.

It's fantastic to see Khomkhai doing so well. Lived their takeaway for years and now the restaurant has come along and it is outstanding. Had a fantastic meal with my fiance, the food was great, the atmosphere was amazing and the staff were very welcoming and friendly.We will definitely be going back soon!

What a wonderful place. We went in tonight and explained that I am a diabetic and could you please help with a meal without too much sugar. They spent a lot of time going through the menu pointing out the meals that they could change to suit my health issue. And what a fantastic high quality meal it was. Many thanks
