New Tung Fong in High Peak

How these guys have such a low star rating is beyond me??First time we tried them was Christmas Eve and it did take longer than expected to arrive, but it was Christmas Eve so that's understandable. Food arrived hot and was really delicious, they are so different to the other Chinese takeaways and restaurants around and definitely have their own flavour (spicy salt and pepper seasoning, but this is honestly great if you like that moreish spice level).Second time there was one item missing from our order (nothing major, just seaweed, but my partner loves it) and when I called they said they would be unable to come out as they were rammed. About 10 minutes later there was a knock at the door and they had taken the time to drive out and deliver a single box of seaweed (very happy girlfriend).It would be easy to see little faults and give a low rating, but the reason I rate so highly is because they make every effort to give the best service they can and they are obviously popular and busy, its just a shame more people aren't coming on to give these guys a good rating.If you're not sure about these guys because of the rating I say try them and you'll be pleasantly surprised, if you don't like it then maybe consider its just not your style rather than putting a one star rating, they have great food and they really put the effort in!

Lovely food.. BUT wow it was ridiculously spicy, WAY TOO HOT, asked for salt and pepper chips and salt and pepper squid and couldn’t even eat them it was that hot! Recommend to use less spice in the future!Also not much meat on the duck.

8.50 for a special chow mein and i swear it was the worst i have ever, ever had in my life. The most i have ever paid for the worst. Will never go back.Response to owner response....I have had to edit review as it wont let me reply to the owners response, Here it is, Yes 8.50, So looks like i was over charged as well as it being an awful meal. This is a Shame. I dont review to be awful i just review my true feelings on the meal i had. I have it on my bank statement if you want proof that i paid 8.50. I have never ever in my whole life of eating takeaways had to bin a whole meal. Sorry if this review upsets you.

Can't be arsed to update their just eat status and the delivery drivers don't bother reading the instruction, food is ok. Look elsewhere.

Ordered today (march 28th) waited an hour and 20mins for it..The chicken in the chow mein was diced smaller than my dogs dry food.I ordered and paid for Large chips, the portion was smaller than a normal portion.My partners fish was not the best.It was all cold.Was my first and last time ordering from here!

My dogs winalot dog food looked more apertizing than our order. Curry sauce and soup 50% of it in the carrier bag. Chips that look like they have been microwaved 5x all shrivelled up vegetarian foods mixed with meat in the same packaging. I phoned the restaurant 3 hours ago and they said they would refund. Here I am writing this review as they have closed and not refunded. Been on the phone to just eat, they have made no attempt to refund. First time I ever ordered from this restaurant and the last. Disgusting behavior

Disaponting mealsThe food was quite bland although the meat and vegetables are good quality.Schezaun dishes not spicy at all.Fried rice soggy seemed overcooked.

Called at Tung Fong after taking our food back to the village chippy and getting a refund as it was not made with love and totally tasteless. Glad we stumbled across Tung fong and Tony,. Explained to Tony our experience at village chippy and what our expectations are!!! Decent fresh food made with love, dont ask for much. And we got it. Top fella, really food chinese food. Honest and genuine,, need i say more.

One star only because you can't give zero. Without doubt the worst service and the worst Chinese food I have eaten. Or rather, taken a bite of and thrown away. Appalling. It was delivered 45 mins late and it was all cold. They marked it as delivered on Just Eat but when I phoned them it hadn't even left the shop. They told me it was because it was the end of the month! Soup was awful, did not eat. Mixed starter - the pancake thing was a thick stodgy flavourless lump. I had to check the menu to see what it was supposed to be. Spring rolls greasy and bland. In the end, we didn't even try the main courses as everything else had been so relentlessly awful we couldn't face putting any more rank food in our mouths. How this place is still open is a mystery to me. We paid £30 for the privilege of waiting an hour and a half for food that we then threw away. Avoid at all costs.

I used tung fong 2 years ago and the food was terrible but my usual chippy was closed so I just thought I'd get a chip muffin you cant do that wrong can you!!! I was surprised when I ordered it that the person serving me then disappeared in the back for 5 mins leaving me stood there. I'd ordered a chip muffin mind not a Chinese meal!Then returned with my food wrapped it and then I paid and left. Upon arriving back in work I opened the packing to see measly portion of chips that were massively over done or had been cooked several times and a soggy muffin. So i went on google to find thete website to call them upon which i noticed I had been overcharged it want a great deal but that's not the point.Not only bad food but over charging customers for the bad food simply not good enough Needless to say won't be using this chippy again.
